Pros:
The origin of the hero is hardly shown. Constant Origens, including in endless restarts, are very tired, so it’s good that the topic was glimpsed in the opening credits. That's enough.
- There are many Easter eggs to secondary characters from the comics, to actors associated with old films about the Hulk.
- It’s pretty good, but nothing more.
Cons:
- The film loses to the 2003 Hulk. There was a lot of timing, tension, mystery, real drama in that movie, and that movie was quite a work of its own (except for some ugly special effects). And this is just an appendix to the movie universe, a seed for "The Avengers." The film gives absolutely nothing special, it is absolutely standard: here is the hero, here is his love, here is the military, the villain and the fight at the end. There was not one intriguing or unexpected event in the film.
- The military is initially sent to pick up Banner and not even told who he is. The management knows that it could be taken immediately or not. So when he began to run away in fear for his life, the military was obliged to stop the pursuit, as they could not fight the Hulk.
- Translation. At 44:34 the inscription Cryosync. Read "Cryosonic." The translator is drunk.
- Betty already has a new boyfriend, but she forgets that she took responsibility for him and jumps on Banner without hesitation. Not that life is not like this (in general, quite often), but for a positive character it is dirty.
- Emil Blonsky is injected with a secret serum that makes him stronger and faster. Oh, so the military has Howard Stark's serum to make super soldiers! The story of Captain America is based on the fact that the formula of the drug is lost.
- The general goes to take the Hulk in a second fight, risking his daughter and not using a temporary advantage while Banner is still a man.
- Villain Abomination is absolutely unlike its comic book original. Yeah, he had his ears removed correctly, but there had to be something left.
- He also has no motivation at all. If other villains wanted to kill all people, take over the world, quarrel the Avengers or at least steal a lot of money, then Blonsky is motivated only by the desire to get cunts from the Hulk again and again. He climbs and climbs. Did anyone ask him why? Why would he want to be a monster and destroy the city? Yeah, he's a fool, but what, to that degree? And they keep them in American intelligence agencies?
- In addition, in the attached short film "Consultant" for some reason it is stated that the General was going to include in the composition of the Avengers Blonsky. After he wanted to kill him and his daughter, yeah.
In general, the restart was in vain, since this film is noticeably weaker than the original, Norton absolutely does not fit the superhero theme and, moreover, subsequently abandoned the company and it again had to be replaced. No important characters for the general cinema universe appeared here (except for General Ross, but you can do without him). In my opinion, it would be no worse if the Hulk 2003 was added to the Cinematic Universe or his solo album was not filmed at all. And the subsequent replacement of the actor with Ruffalo – well, this is a thing that is impossible to accept, because he does not look like Banner from the comics, either externally or in character. The studio is indifferent to who to take.
