Odyssey in Japanese Samurai Sanjuro, it's a trickster. He is noble, but he acts by deception. He is strong, but he loses because of those he tries to protect. He does not hesitate to use the sword, but values the lives of his casual acquaintances. He laughs at everyone, but he fights injustice. He comes from nowhere, but accepts other people’s problems as his own. Having solved problems, he goes nowhere again. He is on a journey whose beginning and end we do not know.
Samurai Sanjuro with jokes and jokes, enters the battle. He is confronted by gangs hired by local oligarchs, who in a struggle between themselves ravage the neighborhood and attract new robbers. Bandits, like the main character, also go to deception and intrigue. But they have no honor and are driven by greed of profit and power, in their tyranny and with the connivance of corrupt officials, they break the fate of people.
Sanjuro appears as a Japanese superhero who does not pass by injustice. He is not limited to stating the imperfection of the world and regretting this imperfection, but actively begins to change the world. This is the kind of hero the world needs. People are cynical and hopeless, they know there is no way out and they are ready to die. Only a rogue is able to pull the world out of this rut into which he fell out of his arrogance.
To solve this case, Sanjuro comes up with ingenious plans and each time the plan is not completely successful, which every time fails. But the samurai does not give up, comes up with a new plan, continuing to walk the blade. This movie is very interesting until the end. Akira Kurasawa is a genius.
