The drama begins in 1993. The main character Alexei Bragin, captain of the third rank of the marines, whose role he played Vladimir Mashkov Together with Yuri Khamzin, a sniper, they disappear in the North Caucasus during a federal military operation.
Six years pass and at the site of the joint operation of the GRU and FSB special forces, a camp that trained terrorists is destroyed. There, in the bunker, the military find the changed beyond recognition, miraculously surviving Bragin, chained to the wall and completely exhausted.
The captain is returned to his homeland and sent to psychologists and doctors. The man is tortured by brutal torture. In captivity, he had to remain completely alone for a long time. The history of the Caucasian prisoner is quickly learned in the media. Special attention will be paid to the officer by an expert employee of the FSB counterterrorism center. The woman is suspicious of Bragin's stories.
