Her books are considered a national literary treasure in the UK. No college or university in the Kingdom is complete without the compulsory study of Jane Austen in its program. "The First Lady of English Literature" created true masterpieces, with a deep penetration into the characters of their heroes, a soulful and soft style, unpretentious humor.
Jane was born into the family of a priest who gave his daughters a decent education. Thanks to his care, Jane was well versed in the literature of her time, along with her sister Cassandra read Shakespeare, Goldsmith, Hume, authors such as Ridcharson, Fielding, Stern, Maria Edgeworth, Fanny Bernie. The intellectual spiritual atmosphere affected the creativity and writing style of Jane herself, whose name is now in line with the classics.
Among the best works of Jane Austen include “Pride and Prejudice” (based on this novel to make the film of the same name with the title).
Jane Austen died, by modern standards, still a young woman, at 42, in the arms of her beloved sister Cassandra. Her last novel, Sanditon, remained unfinished. The works of the writer are filmed, there are also feature films dedicated to her: The Real Jane Austen (2002), Jane Austen's Love Failures (2007), Jane Austen (2007). /
