Shakespeare wrote chronicles, sonnets, comedies and tragedies. William Shakespeare's most famous comedies are The Taming of the Shrew and A Midsummer Night's Dream. The most famous tragedies, of course, were "Romeo and Juliet" (Romeo and Juliet) and "Hamlet" (Hamlet, Prince of Denmarke).
From the poems of William Shakespeare no less known "Venus and Adonis", published in 1953, "Lucrezia", which was published in 1594 and which Shakespeare dedicated to one of his patrons - the Earl of Southampton, and "The Passionate Pilgrim", published in 1599.
The first theatrical productions based on Shakespearean works date back to the early nineteenth century, and the first film adaptation to the early twentieth century. Since then, more than a dozen paintings have been staged and shot. /
