Yegor Konchalovsky was born on January 15, 1966 in the capital of Russia in a family already known in the film industry. His father Andrei Mikhalkov-Konchalovsky is a famous film director, and his mother is a talented actress Natalia Arinbasarova. The atmosphere in which Yegor Andreevich grew up fully contributed to the development of his career in the field of directing. Konchalovsky Jr. received a brilliant education. In his time, Yegor Andreevich served in the cavalry regiment at the Mosfilm Studio (1984-1986). After that, he studied at the prestigious Oxford International School and London Business College. In 1994, Konchalovsky Jr. received a master's degree in art history.
Egor Andreevich began his directorial career working as an assistant in the studio of his famous father. Soon after, he became interested in advertising, shooting over two hundred commercials for such large companies as Sony and Mars. The first full-length film Egor Konchalovsky released in 2000. It was the detective thriller The Recluse. Two years later, another equally exciting picture came out – the action-packed action movie Antikiller, in which the main role was played by Gosha Kutsenko, a popular actor of his time. The success of this film prompted the director in 2003 to shoot the second part of “Antikiller”.
For a fruitful directorial career, which is constantly intertwined with personal life and family pedigree, Egor Konchalovsky made many interesting films worthy of repeated viewing. Among them are Escape, released in 2005, Canned Food (2007), as well as the impressive paintings Roses for Elsa (2009) and Our Masha and the Magic Nut (2009). Often in the works of Konchalovsky took part his wife – beautiful actress Lyubov Tolkalina, who played a role in the film.
