Simone Henriette Charlotte Kaminker, an outstanding French actress Simone Signoret, was born on March 25, 1921, into a French family in Germany. The future star chose her surname Signoret in 1942 (after the maiden name of her mother), so that there were fewer questions from the Nazi authorities by the surname of her father - Kaminker.
Simone spent her entire childhood in Paris. Being a high school student and fascinated by Hemingway, Faulkner, Steinbeck, she began to go to the dramatic circle of Sikar, which she successfully graduated. Her way up began one March evening in the early forties. Working as a modest stenographer in one of the editorial offices, Simone decided to drink a cup of coffee in the Parisian cafe "Flore", where the representatives of the Parisian bohemia spent the evening: Jean-Paul Sartre, Guillaume Apollinaire, Pablo Picasso and ... Yves Allegre. Thanks to new friends, Simone began to appear in episodic films, and in 1946 her name was on the poster of the film “Dawn Demons”. And with the director Yves Allegra spun a beautiful and passionate romance, as a result of which in 1949 was born daughter Catherine.
But marriages are made in heaven, and a new man has appeared in Simone’s life. Handsome Yves Montana in 1951 became the husband of a talented actress. During the happy years of marriage, Simone Signoret starred in a whole gallery of paintings. These were the most diverse images: the vulgar Marie from the Golden Helmet, the modest Teresa Raken from the film of the same name, the broken Alice from the Golden Helmet.
The Way Up" The role that brought Signora the Oscar statuette, and many other paintings. After a short and brief romance with Hollywood star Marilyn Monroe, Simone began writing. “Nostalgia is not the same” (1976) and “Will Tomorrow be Happy?” (1979) – received positive reviews from critics, as did her novel “Farewell, Volodya”, published shortly before Signoret’s death from cancer.
