Soviet and Russian actress Inna Kmit was born on June 19, 1932 in Moscow. Her father was formerly popular artist Leonid Kmit, who met with a young 15-year-old circus girl Alexandra Demyanenko. The family was not strong, and young Inna stayed with her father. The mother was arrested “for espionage”, and she spent the remaining years in prison.
Dreaming of a career as an artist, Inna Kmit entered the Higher Theatre School named after M.S. Shchepkin. After graduating, she immediately got on television. It happened in 1956, when she starred in the comedy She Loves You. In the same picture, shot by Semyon Derevyansky and Rafail Suslovich, Alexander Shirvindt debuted. And her partner in the plot was the now famous Georgy Vitsin.
The success of the first film with the participation of Inna Kmit led to an invitation to participate in new film projects. In 1957, Kmit played the role of Anisya in the criminal historical drama In the Power of Gold. The film was based on the stories of D.N. Mamin-Sibiryak. After this role, Inna Kmit found fame. They started recognizing her on the streets. She then appeared in two more paintings:
New attraction (1957) and Ataman Codre (1958). However, soon a brilliant career was cut short due to conflict relations with Anatoly Efros. The actress had to leave the theater, and she decided to undergo training in directorial courses. Later, she took part in the filming of the well-known TV program “Time” for 25 years.
Inna Kmit’s personal life was not particularly successful. The actress married twice and both marriages ended in divorce. For the first time she connected her life with Viktor Sukhodrev, who worked as a diplomat and personal translator of L.I. Brezhnev and N.S. Khrushchev. In her second marriage to actor Boris Bystrov, she had a daughter, Catherine Kmit, who continued the acting dynasty. /
