Petr Petrovich Repnin was born on September 18, 1894. In 1907-1914 he studied at the Real School of A.S. Chernyaev. Since 1914, Peter Repnin played in the amateur entreprise of V.S. Voronsky and L.L. Sokolov, in 1915-1918 he was an actor of the Petrograd Miniature Theater. Petr Petrovich Repnin was born on September 18, 1894. In 1907-1914 he studied at the Real School of A.S. Chernyaev. Since 1914, Peter Repnin played in the amateur entreprise of V.S. Voronsky and L.L. Sokolov, in 1915-1918 he was an actor of the Petrograd Miniature Theater. In 1918-1922 he studied directing at courses of masters of stage production (later - GVYRM) under the guidance of Vsevolod Meyerhold. In 1920, the actor played in the Bat Theater, in 1920-1924 - in the Free Theater (later - the Theater of the RSFSR-I under the leadership of V. E. Meyerhold), in 1922-1924 he was a director of the Moscow Theater of the Revolution, then, until 1932, worked in cinema. Then he returned to the stage, was an actor of the Bauman Children's Theatre, in 1934-1938 he played in the Realist Theatre under the leadership of Nikolai Okhlopkov, in 1938-1940 - in the Chamber Theatre. Since 1941, Petr Repnin worked in the All-Union State Concert Organization, in 1942 - in the Pokrass Jazz Orchestra, in 1942-1944. he was an actor of the front branch of the Maly Theater, then he played in the Mosfilm Theater (1944-45), in the Musical Drama Theater of the Ministry of Health (1945-47), and from 1947 to 1955 he worked in the film actor's studio. Petr Repnin began acting before the revolution, gained fame as a comedy actor, starred in the first Soviet eccentric comedies ("Mess Mend", "Eh, Apple!"), besides he wrote scripts himself, helped directors. Wide popularity brought him the role of Mooley in the comedy film " Foundling" (1939). Among the films with the participation of Peter Repnin - "On the stage", "Probation period", "Free wind", "Shield and sword". The last work of the actor was the role of the head doctor of a mental hospital in the comedy L. Gaidai “Caucasian captive, or New Adventures of Shurik” (1968).
