Brad Silberling was born on September 8, 1963, to a television producer. However, his work for the studio did not end with a game film project, the novice filmmaker was noticed by the famous TV producer Steven Bochko and attracted him as a director. Brad Silberling successfully shot episodes for various television series, and after a while he became interested in Steven Spielberg. He gave Silberling the opportunity to make his film debut, putting a full-length children's film "Casper" (1995) - about a friendly ghost, the hero of many comics and cartoons. The box office success of this film allowed the director to turn to a more serious project - he puts a dramatic picture "City of Angels" (1998). Then he continues to work on television, and in 2002 Brad Silberling shoots the melodrama “Mile of Moonlight”, starring Jake Geilenhaal, Dustin Hoffman, Susan Sarandon and Holly Hunter. The director also acted as the screenwriter and producer of this film.
