In 1999, Edgar graduated from Andre Belo Catholic University, receiving two degrees: one in the field of mass media and the second in political communications. His father wanted him to pursue a career as a diplomat. While studying at college, Edgar worked as a journalist, all his articles were exclusively political in nature.
After graduation, the future actor became the executive director of a large public organization that supported radio channels, cinemas and TV channels. Around the same time, Edgara began to attract acting. His first work in this industry was the series Cosita-Rica, filmed by order of the channel Venevisión. The series includes 270 episodes, it aired from autumn 2003 to summer 2004.
