American actress Mary Winstead was born in Rocky Mount on November 28, 1984. When Mary was five years old, her parents James Ronald and Betty Lou Winstead moved to Salt Lake City. Since childhood, Mary studied ballet and acting. So, as a child she participated in the ballet performance “The Nutcracker”. Then, at the age of eleven, Mary studied dance in the summer at one of the prestigious ballet schools in New York. At the school of Joffrey, along with training in ballet and jazz dance, she studied acting. The result of Elizabeth’s hard work was her participation in the musical “Joseph and his amazing, colorful cloak”, which was launched on Broadway, after which she was invited to sing in the International Children’s Choir.
Mary began her acting career at the age of thirteen. In 1997, she starred in the television series Touch of an Angel, where she played the role of Christie in the episode. From 1999 to 2000 on NBC, the actress played Jessica Bennett in the project “Passion”, from 2001 to 2002 she appeared in the series “Wolf Lake”, and in 2004 – in “Monster Island”.
Mary made her film debut in 2005 as the daughter of a crazy family in the comedy Freeing Place. In the same year, the actress played Gwen Grayson in the film “Aerobatics” and starred as a young Evelyn in the film “Call 2”.
Then in 2006, the actress played Wendy Christensen in the film Destination 3, where she starred with Ryan Merriman. Then she starred as Susan Taylor in the movie “Bobby” and Heather Fitzgerald in the movie “Black Christmas”. In 2007, Mary played Lee Monttomery in the action film Proof of Death, Lucy McClain in the action film Die Hard, Ingrid Superstar in the film I Seduced Andy Warhol.
