Ben Whishaw was born in 1980, October 14, in the UK (Hitchin, Hertfordshire). After school, he continued his studies at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, graduating in the spring of 2003. Ben Whishaw was born in 1980, October 14, in the UK (Hitchin, Hertfordshire). After school, he continued his studies at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, graduating in the spring of 2003.
His first big screen debut was back in 1999. Ben played small roles in the films “Escort” and “Trench”. As a student, Ben successfully performed one of the roles in the film “My Brother Tom”, for which he received in 2001 an award in the nomination “Most Promising Debutant”.
After graduating from the Academy, Ben continued to act, his next roles in the films “The Test of Love”, “Salt Pie” added to his popularity. At the same time, Ben made his debut on the stage of the National Theatre in the play “Dark Principles”, after playing the main role in the popular production of the play “Hamlet”. This production was enthusiastically received by the public and received praise from critics. For this role, Ben was nominated for Best Actor of the Year. It was then that he was noticed by director Tom Tickwer and producer Birdt Eichinger. Subsequently, Ben at their invitation successfully starred in several series.
