Russian screenwriter and film director Igor Pavlovich Voloshin was born on July 1, 1974 in Sevastopol. Russian screenwriter and film director Igor Pavlovich Voloshin was born on July 1, 1974 in Sevastopol. After graduating from school in 1992, Igor Voloshin tried to enter the medical institute, but unsuccessfully.
In 1992, he became an actor of the Sevastopol youth drama tetra “On the Bolshoi Marine”, and soon a student of the Sevastopol branch of the Yaroslavl Theatre Institute. From 1993 to 1998, he performed as a lead guitarist and leader of the punk band and later the jazz orchestra Delicates. After graduating from the Yaroslavl Theatre Institute in 1996, Igor Voloshin works as an actor, playwright and director in the theater laboratory at the theater.
In 1998, he entered VGIK, where he studied, first in the dramaturgy workshop of V.K. Chernykh and L.A. Chernykh, and then in the studio of directing author's films. Igor Voloshin graduated from VGIK in 2000 with a degree in film director. While still studying at VGIK, Igor Voloshin removes his student work “Mesivo” (1999), devoted to the problems of drug addiction. In his first, already professional documentary “Bitch”, filmed at the Sverdlovsk film studio in 2001, Igor Voloshin performed in three roles at once: screenwriter, director and cameraman. Then, at the same film studio, in 2003, his second, already playful short film “Hunting the Hare”. His first works were soon noticed and won many domestic and international awards and prizes: "Mesivo" - 6 national prizes in 2000, "Bitch" - the prize for best debut and the prize "FINPRESSI" of the international documentary film festival in Amsterdam and the jury mark of the film festival "Debut". Kinotavr in 2001. The film was cancelled at three international film festivals in Mexico City, Valencia and the Golden Knight in 2004.
In his subsequent works, Igor Voloshin often acts as a screenwriter (four films), director (10 films), and in the film Nirvana (2008) and as an actor who played the role of a drug dealer. In his latest film work, Experiment 5IVE. The novella “Atlantic” and “Bedouin” (both 2011) he successfully combined the work of the film writer and director. /
