American rap artist, actor Redman was born in 1970 in Newark (New Jersey). His real name is Reggie Noble. Already at the age of 11, Reggie tried himself as a DJ at parties. Normal equipment was not, and the guy had to “wise” with the help of two records and old stereo consoles. Four years later, his mother gave him a professional turntable, bought in second-hand. Reggie was graduating from high school and had to think about going to Montclair State College. In order to get money, he started selling drugs. When he went to college, he had to work all the time. He himself regularly indulged in marijuana.
A turning point in Reggie’s life was the meeting with Eric Sermon and Parrish Smith, and after Noble found true fame with the release of the album EPMD Business Never Personal with Hardcore and Brothers On My Jock. Redman has recorded his debut album “Whut?” Thee Album, which passed the radio, but became an underground hit of 1992.
While everyone rushed to mix rap and funk, Redman managed to record his second album, a darker one, Daze Iz A Darkside. His theme was the tragic death of a friend. A separate track (“How to Roll a Blunt”) was dedicated to the charm of shoals, thanks to which he found a common language with the equally famous rapper Method Man, with whom he later created the famous “Blackout!”, as well as many other equally good albums. Redman also appeared on the screen from time to time. The audience remembered the rapper on the films "The MethodMena and Redmen Show" and
Torks .
