Rupert Friend is a British screenwriter and film actor. Rupert is from Stonesfield. Upon completion of his studies at school, Friend moved to London, where he had the opportunity to receive an acting education at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, where previously such film actors as Hugh Bonneville, Natalie Dormer and Angela Lansbury studied.

Rupert is from Stonesfield. Upon completion of his studies at school, Friend moved to London, where he had the opportunity to receive an acting education at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, where previously such film actors as Hugh Bonneville, Natalie Dormer and Angela Lansbury studied.
In 2004, Rupert Friend made his debut in cinema, when the actor took part in the filming of the film “The Libertine”. For his participation in this film, he was nominated for the British Independent Film Awards in the nomination “Most Promising Debutant”.
He also won the Satellite Award for Outstanding New Talent. After his participation in separate projects in which he played secondary roles, Friend starred in such popular films as “Sheri”, “Young Victoria” and “The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas”.
In 2008, Rupert and film actor Tom Mison made the short film The Long and Sad Saga of the Suicide Brothers, for which they co-wrote the script and also played the main roles. In early 2010, the debut of the actor on the theater stage took place. He played the role of Mitchell in The Little Dog Laughed directed by Douglas Carter Bean.
In 2010, Friend became the director and producer of another short film.
"Steve" For which he created the script himself. The film starred Tom Mison, Keira Knightley and Colin Firth. The film premiered at the London Film Festival.
In 2005, Rupert Friend began dating actress Keira Knightley, whom he met during the filming of the film.
