While studying at the University of Texas, where Wes Anderson studied philosophy, the future director meets Owen Wilson. The result of this meeting was the debut work of Wes Anderson, as an actor and co-writer of the script, in the comedy crime short Bottle Rocket, which premiered in 1994 at the Sandance Festival. Later, in 1996, a full-length version of the film was released. This debut directorial work by Wes Anderson was helped by the famous American producer James L. Brooks. This was followed by the original films Rushmore (1998) and Semeyua Tanenbaum (2001). Screenwriter Wes Anderson often admits that his work was influenced by such recognized American classics as Scott Fitzgerald and Jerome Salinger.
