Naive young Sasha lived for 17 years at the behest of her parents. And then, suddenly, I met a group of people who were not burdened by frames. They live today, do not think about the ordinary and act guided only by impulse. Sasha understands that it is such freedom, all-encompassing and real, she lacked and even the mysterious Sun sank into her soul - sin not to try something new and bright!
The fact that the film Sukachev learned after a long time, after the first viewing. I can say that he surprised me very pleasantly. You won’t find a good subculture movie. The characters are interesting, the script is simple and easy. Everything is imbued with a kind of warmth and light of the sun.
The film is suitable for multiple viewing. Very good soundtrack. I recommend it to everyone.
I saw this film when I was 16 years old: a time of maximism, of finding myself and believing in a bright future, a certain fairy tale. When I saw the trailer, I knew I had to watch!
Said, done.
The film interested in the spirit of freedom, rebellion, first love.
The main character is an ordinary girl who graduated from school, has wealthy parents and does not really know life. For her, there is only an ideal world where everything is fine and an extraordinary future awaits her.
And so, a naive creature from a decent Soviet family meets an unusual guy, so unlike her circle of friends. Of course, curiosity takes over, and after the first meeting she becomes fascinated. What else can you expect from a young girl who believes in fairy tales?
He opens up a new life for her, where there is a place for exhibitions in an old apartment, mulled wine, and a trip to the sea, where the mysterious House of the Sun is located.
The Sun is a grown-up guy who is in this hippie 'porridge' brewed, obviously, a long time ago. And unlike the main character, she knows firsthand that everything will end sooner or later, whether it is a system, rebelliousness or life.
- Please don't go!
- Someday, I will.
The relationships of the heroes are like a sunrise: mysterious, beautiful, but doomed to quickly end.
She will understand that the Sun does not need to be sought, it is in the heart if you continue to believe and love.
It’s worth seeing if you’re young, naive, adventurous, and believe in love at first sight.
“The sun does not live here. The sun is coming here.
First of all, I noticed that this is a Garika movie. Togo Garik – Needless to say, his image is peculiar – a rattling mixture of a hooligan proletarian and an old soldier who “does not know the words of love.” This is a movie like this!!
“Do you even know how cool this fucking life is?”
Philosophy of hippies, their existence in the USSR, where they tolerate, to put it mildly, not too pleasant attitude of society and authorities to themselves. But they do not give up and do not betray their ideas and principles: Peace, Love. And Rock and Roll, of course; Music is a great addition to the film.
- Are we going to live here?
- We are going to enjoy life here.
The story of the “right” Soviet girl, the daughter of a government man, who fell in love, and at the very top, with a hippie guy. In a very strange, mysterious, but so sunny ... in the sun. She is the only one who will see his house, the House of the Sun.
- I thought home was a place where friends were invited.
- Nope. Home is where people feel good.
- Why don’t you want your kids to know where your home is?
Because it is their last legend.
“I think the sun is a messenger from another planet.”
The actors are great. Stanislav Ryadinsky, The Sun. Oh. Just... Exactly as it should be: mysterious, alluring, strange, with its own philosophy. Svetlana Ivanova – sweet, naive, sometimes overstepped the stick with naivety, but it is normal. Of course, you can not forget Daria Frost, Ivan Stebunov, and other “hipparies”. Also in the episodes were Mikhail Efremov, Chulpan Khamatova, Nikita Vysotsky, Anna Tsukanova set on fire. Oh, and not forget Ivan Makarevich as his own father.
We’re a real rock band now! We're going to be tied up at the very first concert!
It's a great movie. Good, light, warm. Like the sun.
P.S. “If you have not found meaning in life, make life an end in itself.” – Sun
A totally ugly film, a profanation of the hippie movement. Everything is so played that almost every episode wants to shout: “I don’t believe!”
It seems that the main disadvantage is not a mediocre snotty plot generously strewn with fenecks and other symbols of the era. There is no depth, without which hippies remain a bunch of slackers and drug addicts. I must give credit - actors jump as hard as they can, but the shine in the eyes when you live in anticipation of a wave of universal love and unity on Earth - this is not in sight. Everything is drowning in the specifics of love-drooling delirium and cliches of social reality.
Not to offend the cast, there is a strong feeling that burned cynics are trying to demonstrate angelic innocence. Ivanova is completely unnatural and clearly overplays in a good half of the scenes. The rest are no better.
Return to Innocence? It would be good to clean up all the dirt of the next decades.
Alas...
We don't need your eyes anymore.
You've already seen it in your eyes.
And everything we need is taken.
To begin with, I rarely watch Russian films. Accidentally stumbling across this film, I doubted for a long time, and still decided to watch. I didn't regret it. No film has inspired me so much in a long time. The thought comes that we are not living right. We don't appreciate what we're given. The film completely changed my outlook. Do you know how cool this fucking life is? The film is very atmospheric, it was interesting and pleasant to watch all these hairy and smiling people. Very light, sunny, striking to the depths of the soul.
My sun was coming. From Stanislav Ryadinsky as if the light came, I just fell in love with him. He's a real Sun. Crazy actions, freedom, love, lack of principles. This inspires and makes you think once again that life is a beautiful thing, so you can not miss a single moment of it.
A great movie, at the end there is a light sadness. Absolutely.

I was scared, I thought you were gone. Please don't go!
- Someday I will.
- Please don't go!
Sun, glow, whisper, stars, night, sea... The symbols that fill our lives. How long have you heard the sound of the surf and inhaled the smell of intoxicating freedom? The freedom of love, the freedom of the first steps of an almost blind and insecure child beginning his long journey? A person is like a flower: it opens when its turn comes (or does not come).
Yes, in this film everything is intertwined: love, intoxicating, knocking down, and death, which always goes hand in hand with happiness. It seems that bright colors are drowning in the gray semitones of reality. A kind of imitation of reality, but not completely successful, in my opinion. Still, there's too much seduction. This is more of a story than a story or a story. But a fairy tale you want to believe. I think the whole film is a conglomeration of ideas, ideas and aspirations of the authors themselves. Longing for lost illusions.
The story about hippies and the love story unfolding against this background is, of course, naive, but kind. And that's certainly a virtue. It is kindness that distinguishes the heroes of the film. Even villains aren't so bad. Love gives a person the opportunity to become omnipotent and share happiness with others. This is how the House of the Sun is perceived. At the same time, it's a story of growing up. So, the main character discovers that in addition to the world of all-good-in-the-light-where-you can-invite-friends there are other dimensions. To understand it helps a gentle and insidious feeling. And it turns out that the world can be cruel and hurt, or it can caress with the rays of the sun and the mute elysium. I want to overcome everything with my love, but it is not always possible. Life is an opportunity, you never know where and when it happens. So just love and give love and happiness to others as long as possible. Otherwise, it may be too late... Here is a film, fabulously lifelike, but pleasant and affectionate eyes and aesthetics of perception.
Definitely a necessary, necessary film. Personally, I did not expect such a return from Garik Sukachev in the film. Only the beginning, and I would like the handwriting of the beginner did not change, but only developed. The selection of actors fits fully and completely the consideration of the film. Ivanova, thin, naive, at the same time rebellious (after all, she went with Mr. Sun to distant lands), revealed the image of a girl of that time. The arrival of a new culture, such an unusual one, to which I wanted to belong, to be its participant, became the heroine AlekSash.
Stanislav Rudinsky was created for the role of an informal leader. It is compared to the most important planet that gives us life – the Sun! Appearance, eyes, strange, difficult to explain behavior helps us understand the plan of the film. Thanks, thanks for watching. I'd like to see it again!
Before watching the movie, I promised myself that I would watch the first 20 minutes, and if I didn’t like it, I’d turn it off in a second. The movie looked in one breath. I didn't even notice how the hour and a half went.
I’ve been disappointed in Russian cinema for a long time, but this film just revived it for me. The movie is really wonderful. It is filled with its own and unforgettable atmosphere. It seems that you just looked skeptically at the first minutes, but now you empathize with the heroes or rejoice with them.
The variety of characters, together with a very accurate transfer of emotions, looks perfect. I really liked the actors. I think roles suit them. I don’t even see anyone else in their place.
What is the sun worth? The sun is always on time. No one knows what time it is!
That's really the sun. It seems far away, but its rays warm everyone around. This is the impression that the main character makes. Sunshine Wherever he appears, everyone treats him so warmly and amicably that involuntarily you yourself begin to treat him as a friend.
This widespread indifference immediately catches the eye, but then you realize that he does not care at all. He never says anything directly, but all the time in riddles, because he is not sure about the future. It is not interesting to know everything in advance.
Maybe at first glance it seems that he somehow neglects his life, but then you realize that it is better to live a short but bright life than a long, but in a hospital bed.
You have to live today, and until tomorrow there is an eternity. This is the perfect motto for anyone. The Sun may know that he is about to die, but he instills this motto in the souls of his friends. Either live to the fullest or do not live at all!
I would also like to say that the film very accurately conveys the culture of the hippie and the spirit of the time. Adds more colors and interweaving of Russian-English words or hip-pop phrases. That is, you are not just looking at the screen, but discovering something new.
You can not ignore the beautiful scenery.
And I also really liked what made this mysterious ' House of the Rising Sun', located near the sea ... This house has become a legend. And then you see it with your own eyes. You feel like you are part of something extraordinary.
It’s been a long time since I watched this movie, but the warm emotions are still there. I guess the sun lives in me now. .
The path is even a small discrepancy with the book, but for me it is

When I first heard about the film, I was skeptical. The film, based on the work of Ivan Okhlobystin, did not attract me much. However, after looking at the cast, I decided to watch and did not regret at all.
The movie is warm. Really warm. All imbued with the culture of hippies, their music, their mood, he beckons to himself, and it is as if a new life is born in you. You begin to believe in a world without war, in love, in a free life.
Now a few words about the actors.
Having already earned my respect with such films as August 8 and Legend N17, Svetlana Ivanova again pleased me. Her Sasha turned out simply delightful: a sweet, charming, trusting girl who fell in love for the first time. Her blind faith in her beloved cannot help but delight.
Next in line, of course, Stanislav Ryadinsky in the role of the Sun. I fell in love with his smile, his kind, burning eyes. He wants to be compassionate, he wants to help, he wants to support. At the end of the film I even had tears.
Darya Frost, Ivan Stebunov, Moises Blanco, Kirill Polikashin, Alexey Gorbunov were also on top. Their images, thought out to the smallest detail, fascinate with their sincerity.
I would like to say a special thank you to the operators and composers. The music in the film is just amazing. I still listen and cry.
The result: the film is wonderful, worth watching.
The song The House of the Rising Sun originated in New Orleans in the XIX century. However, there is a version that originally in the text instead of the word Sun was the word Son. The fact is that in the first half of the XIX century, New Orleans, as a city, was a large port with a bunch of brothels. Local farmers came there to sell their products and have fun. They often took their grown-up sons with them to get to know a woman for the first time in one of the brothels. Thus, the original name of the song was "House of the Maturing Son", a house where young men become men.
In the context of the above, the semantic content of the film G. Sukachev becomes more understandable. The House of the Sun is a place where girls become women. They move to a new level, so to speak. Of course, the ordinary loss of virginity is not a decisive stage in life, but the moment of life itself is. A moment of collision of an already formed person, but also a child, with adult life, its problems, its good and bad sides. The loss of virginity morally. Pleasure and pain at the same time. But this is only one side of Sukachev’s film.
In general, the tape made an even more pleasant impression on me. From the artistic side and directing the film on the 5th. Sukachev did not shoot a masterpiece, of course, but a quite pleasant film, to see which the second time will not be in scrap. There are different in content paintings. There are films that are beautiful from the visual side, there are films filled with meaning, and there are films that convey moods and emotions. Sukachev specializes in the latter. “House of the Sun” reminded me of “Rock Wave”, sometimes old Solovyov films, sometimes something else, but in general it came out very original.
The picture is made somewhat grotesquely. The USSR in the tape is not the real USSR of the 70s, but there is something from the country. It seemed to me that the spirit of the era, the mood, the thoughts of the 70s in the country were conveyed quite reliably. Amusingly, one of the characters prophesied at the end that there would come a time when Marlborough and The Beatles would sell at every corner. Now it sounds funny, a little naive and slightly criminal even for someone (" traded socialism for sausage!). But then people really dreamed of sausage, because they found inner freedom. Sausage is there, but inner freedom is gone. Because what they did then (although, if you understand, they did nothing) was important, and now everyone cares about the drum.
And in this regard, I would not call the tape Sukachev so light. Still, it's light, but requiem. A requiem for a bygone era, for a bygone youth, for a bygone mood. I read that this film is very personal for Sukachev, and he wanted to make it for a long time. I can feel it. The director’s reverent attitude towards the characters and each frame is felt. Therefore, it is possible to forgive individual sins. Underground radio stations, which for some reason could not detect and close the KGB; the dispersal of the hippie march looked like a cross between the dispersal of the workers’ strike by the Cossacks in 1905 and the dispersal of the “March of Dissenters” (this scene is generally the weakest in the picture); a bunch of celebrities next to the heroes (from “Time Machine” to Vysotsky, the role of which Sukachev modestly took for himself); and generally too demonic and at the same time vile image of the special services (like, they are so omnipotent because they are in fact insignificant). In the film, it was said that the house of the Sun is the last myth that must exist, otherwise it is not interesting. The whole picture is a collection of legends and myths about the small subculture of Soviet hippies and their era. The era is gone and legends remain.
I was going to watch this film for a long time, as I heard a lot of positive reviews, but, alas, I did not understand why so much praise was given.
In my opinion, before us is another example of the fact that mass cinema in Russia do not know how to shoot. The first thing that cuts the eyes is how monstrously outplays (if at all plays) Svetlana Ivanova, who plays the role of the main character. It's not like 'I don't believe it!' Stanislavsky, here the Christmas tree for children rests. Then in the annoying cocktail are added completely unrealistic, impossible exaggerated and so far from life scenes and situations. Some kind of fairy tale for adults, where everything is divided into white and black, and people behave in a way that they would never do in life. Here we see (or it would be more correct to say to hear) to nausea faint-vanilla dialogue, which pull only melodrama for girls twelve years. The plot also leaves much to be desired, but I think the criticism is enough.
I still want to mention the pluses, and they, thank God, still exist. One more thing, the picture. The film is replete with stunningly beautiful shots with excellent camera work and a competently selected soundtrack. It's really beautiful.
Conclusion: in my opinion, this film will be relevant, interesting and pleasant to watch for those who lived and were young in those days, who felt similar situations and, perhaps, recognize themselves in one of the heroes. For such viewers, the light warmth of nostalgia will polish all the shortcomings of this picture.
Bright and kind — probably these adjectives more accurately characterize this film in my eyes.
My love for the film began a long time ago. I didn’t get a chance to watch movies online, so I asked a friend to find one for me. He watched it before I did, and called and said, ‘This is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen!’ Then I saw him. My opinion was the same.
Do you know what attracts this movie? Why is it special?
There is no negative line that the characters struggle with throughout the film. Of course, there is a potential evil here, but it does not distract the viewer from the beauty and lightness of this picture.
Inspiration is what this movie is all about. Can you trade a paid trip abroad for a trip with unfamiliar people, which, God knows, can end? I deeply doubt it. You can only enjoy the courage and ease of the main character Sasha and dream that someday you will have a chance to feel the taste of freedom.
The secondary characters represented in the film are no less interesting than the main ones. I would like to pay special attention to Gerda - a free, direct girl, whose role was played by the charming Daria Moroz.
Do not look for the secret meaning! Personally, I think this film was made for other purposes. It is filmed to give the viewer a piece of warmth, summer, kindness and love - all that is so lacking in the modern world.
Relax and enjoy the painting.
One of the best films that Russian cinema has presented to us over the past decade.

After watching the movie, I am overwhelmed with emotions. Everything is so beautiful, so soulful. I believed, from the first minutes I began to believe in what was happening, sympathized, worried. I felt the atmosphere of the film and enjoyed it. Pleasure from summer, sea, sun - Balaklava, Karadag, Kerch - very beautiful places. The pleasure of high-quality, truly legendary music is Time Machine, Kalinov Bridge, Vladimir Vysotsky, Steppenwolf, Sixto Rodriguez, not to mention whales like The Animals and The Beatles. I was pleased with the excellent acting, Daria Moroz, Alexei Gorbunov, Alexander Mokhov, Chulpan Khamatova, Nikita Vysotsky, Tatiana Agafonova, Nina Ruslanova, Mikhail Efremov ... do not list all - a very strong, high-quality cast, each in its place. Especially thanks to the main characters - Svetlana Ivanova (Sasha) and Stanislav Ryadinsky (Sun), who were able to bring to life such complex characters, convey their emotions, mood, character. The film is very atmospheric, emotional, perfectly recreated the era of the “stagnant” USSR, with ties, lines, Vysotsky and the “hippie system”, against which the story of Sasha and the Sun unfolds. In addition, as a fan of the song about the House of the Rising Sun, I was very pleased to see the references to it. It may be a small thing, but it made me happy.
A very good film, a film about life, about love, very kind and, of course, a little sad.
Nostalgia often overwhelms directors. Not a small number of films telling about the past, shot both abroad and in our country. "House of the Sun" tells us about the famous youth movement - the hippies. But an amendment should be made: hippies are Soviet, so are the conditions. Is it about the film itself?
The plot is quite simple. Komsomolskaya and just beautiful Sasha, a fragile and sophisticated girl (Svetlana Ivanova), enters a medical university, of course, by herself, only the parents were insured. Father is not the last person. She meets a guy named Sun (Stanislav Ryadinsky) and falls in love at first sight. And then he gets acquainted with all the honest company of bright and crazy personalities. The beloved daughter is prepared for the future, a trip to Bulgaria, and the groom in addition. Yes, only our Sasha does not need anything, and she rushes into the pool with her head, following the call of the heart.
It is worth noting that the director of the film Garik Sukachev, a man singing about a grandmother who smokes a pipe, belongs to another field of art. Still, the movie succeeded. Omitting the fact that it was filmed for more than one year, and we did not receive a masterpiece of cinema, the film came out peculiar, easy to perceive and saturated with nostalgic notes.
USSR, '70s, era of stagnation. And Soviet hippies live happily one day, and they do not care about the political situation of the country. Except that's what they do. The hippie movement in the minds of modern society is about the struggle for rights, not just freedom and love. Before the viewer, there were young people smoking weed, sometimes stealing things and spitting on all the foundations and rules. They are also going to the rally, only with permission, of course, say for whose rights to shout slogans. God be with them. Free people who want to do that. Conflicts with power are constantly mentioned in movies. Take at least Todorovsky’s film “Styliagi”. Also about the youth movement, only served in a different form and with other songs.
The film is certainly not historical, even for this title does not claim. But the director took a lot and threw it into one pile. Here is the release of the film “Generals of sand quarries”, and the formation of the group “Time Machine”, the leader of which was played by the son of Makarevich himself, and smoking Vysotsky, whose silhouette we see in the window, and a story about Baba Bede (which brought drive and energy to the plot), and an exhibition of the artist and so on. It's all anti-Soviet. In this chaos involved the girl Sasha, decided to go against strict parents and groom-careerist. She, who becomes “disgusted” by everything right, meets a person on the way who has changed her ideas about life. The sun languid, slightly hoarse voice utters philosophical thoughts so simply and clearly that surprises Sasha, and she is ready to follow him at least to the end of the world. (The actor, who played this role, clearly lacked emotional feeding, in his detached look rarely visible lights.) Here the saying “with a sweet and paradise in a hut” is realized. Only instead of a hut, a self-built hut called the House of the Sun. Truly magical is the scene in this fabulous Eden. Two lovers are illuminated by bright sunlight, which intensifies and finally floods the space. The proximity of the heroes, the innocent and touching look of Ivanova, bells blown by the wind, and harmonious music. Nothing superfluous. Yes, romantic, in moderation, such a love. Love without borders.
This film is about the path to freedom that many have talked about and dreamed about. Sasha, childishly naive, bombarded with questions “why?”, finds this freedom. But does she need it? After all, fate decided in its own way.
The clash of two systems: children of flowers against socialism. There are no winners, every system must disappear. The film has enough scenes full of irony, brought to the point of absurdity. Dispersal of the demonstration, the search for Baba Beda by inept police officers, a fight with drunken border guards. Despite the comic, all episodes are organically woven into the general plot and do not seem pretentious. Still feel the hand of Okhlobystin, one of the screenwriters of this picture. Against the background of life and love, the accompanying cruelty and indifference, death, watching every step are shown. As the mysterious Sun appeared, so it went. It can be compared to a cat that walks by itself. Did this character even exist? Anything is possible.
So what's the movie about? Eternal. About freedom, life, pure and intoxicating love. And, of course, about the “hair” in jeans. People who speak their slang with the weaving of English words into their speech, listening to Western records and hipping on the collective farm fields.
The film turned out bright, saturated with bright colors. In a word, atmospheric. Watch? Definitely. Don’t ask for authenticity from the movie. Just enjoy yourself.
Let me tell you right away: I liked the movie. Talented actors, a good script, a wonderful epilogue (its very presence is already pleasing). But at the same time...
This happens when you read the abstract several times, study a lot of reviews, look to the holes trailer. Having done the above, I still expect something incredible beyond what I could have found out about the film. And of course, often (yes, it always happens!) that I do not get anything new, unpredictable. Although if you evaluate the film without first inquiring about it, then of course, it deserves only the highest praise. And so...
But I'm all about sadness. The actors are great! An unusually talented star Svetlana Ivanova (Sasha), so believably played a naive smart girl who joined the "peaceful" subculture. Charming Stanislav Ryadinsky (Sun), who appeared to us in the form of a special hippie with his philosophy. No one knows when it will appear or where it will disappear. But his friends can be sure that he will always come to the rescue. I was also very pleased with Daria Moroz (Gerda). The actress played so colorful, so brightly, having managed to show her personal story (albeit small, but understandable) - in general, bravo!
The film tells about the events that happened in the already past Soviet era. I’m not going to talk about what used to be worse or vice versa. The argument must be eternal. And there may be equally major disagreements over how well Garik Sukachev managed to bring the Soviet era to the screen. There are probably flaws. But not so big as to talk about them in the review.
Loved the ending. Not sweet, lifelike, predictable. I didn't want a fairy tale.
The film was a pleasure, but from frequent previews of annotations and reviews, during the session, she caught herself thinking about completely different things, and not about the plot, as it always happens. Sorry.
“House of the Sun” I watched after the warm and sincere recommendation of a girl I know. (By the way, my friend also watched the movie on his wife’s advice, and my friend’s impressions matched mine.) I will be honest: despite the female delight, which, as you know, very often does not fit with the male eye, I did not expect anything supernatural from the picture. However, the reality surpassed even my "unexpected".
The plot, in principle, is uncomplicated. A young girl Sasha (Svetlana Ivanova) enters the medical institute. On the very day when she passes through the consourcing and is enrolled in honey, happy Sasha encounters on the street (the world, as you know, is small, and Moscow was small at that time) with a guy who interested her. At home, Sashenka is waiting for a new surprise: it turns out that high-ranking parents helped her to enter the university, and she thought that she herself! Family scandal. The stalemate situation is decided by tickets for the premiere of the grand film “Generals of Sand Quarries”. And who would you think would see Sasha in a dark cinema behind her back? He is the most mysterious stranger! (See above – the world is small, Moscow is even closer.) Alas, boy, disappeared again. But the hippie girl Gerda (Darya Frost), with whom Sasha met in the medical (and she is here!) contributes to the invitation of the main character to tomorrow’s concert of the ensemble “Successful Acquisition”. The next day, sliding away from the dacha, Sashenka enthusiastically rushes to hell in some Balabanovo (I live in Moscow for 100 years, but I do not remember where it is). The promised "Acquisition" did not take place, but you really do not know where you will find, where you will lose - but everyone got the first concert of "Time Machine"! (What, what, in '74?!) Have you ever had a partner five years before? Everyone was satisfied, except for the law enforcement agencies who were putting this mess together. And now, finally, the broken units of the advanced hippie detachments gather in the wasteland, where their leader Sun (Stanislav Ryadinsky) comes. For a long time we waited for the main character, but everything went as it should – came, saw, won, took Sasha with him, fell in love with her, of course, up to his ears in himself, all things... Sasha was awarded by her parents on a trip to Bulgaria. But the hippie party at the same time goes to the opposite end of the Black Sea - to the Crimea. The cunning Sun adjusts everything so that Sasha gets out of her “Bulgarian” bus and joins the hippies.
An open letter to the director of the picture Igor Ivanovich Sukachev. Dear Igor Ivanovich! It’s probably not your fault that the film “Styliagi” came out before “House of the Sun”. But nevertheless, when you look at your picture, you can not get rid of the feeling that the “House of the Sun” is in a certain genre plume “Styliag”. Both here and there, a separate layer of the socialist era and informal culture is recreated. You yourself say: "The picture can be called costume - we have a retrohistory, the early 70s." Why are you so careless in the details? I’m not even talking about the details of clothes as such – ridiculous patches on the admiral suit, timeless cockades on police caps, delusional medals on Dembel kittens, or even stripes from thongs on the beach – there is no need to trivialize. There is a much more significant point, namely: Your picture, in general, unfortunately, does not betray the spirit of the 70s, and I would even say distorts it. You will say, “You have lived in those years to say that!” Igor Ivanovich, do not get angry, but you can also evaluate the opposite method: in almost every frame I personally see and feel the modernity of all the movements of the characters of the film, the modernity of interiors, manners, conversations, etc. Here's one example: at the first concert of "Time Machine" (once again - isn't it too late to interpret it?) Gerda shouts enthusiastically: This is really cool! Such a cry instantly destroys the miserable remnants of the atmosphere of the '70s, instantly transporting me to 2012. "Really cool" - that's not even what they said in the '80s. The next thing that consistently begs for “really cool” is “cool!” And how did you, Igor Ivanovich, manage to shove such "really cool" slot machines (!?) into the cinema of the 70s - I watched and "really" envied table basketball, because there was no such thing in much later times! However, given the limited format of my writing and the abundance of such absurdities and blunders, I am beginning to conclude. However, I can not ignore the scene of beating by mounted police of a peaceful demonstration of hippies against the war in Vietnam. (Can you name at least one source other than Okhlobystin confirming the fact of such a demonstration?) 01.06.1971 demonstration outside the US Embassy!? Igor Ivanovich, dear oy, how fake this whole scene!! This is just a mother pothe bottom, the guard, and you do not need to be the great-great-grandson of Stanislavsky to deny you the faith. Do you really assume that a detachment of mounted militia dispersed (provoked!) the procession, trampling the children of the country’s top officials with hooves?? Why did you not show the corpses? It would be inevitable.
“A little bit about hippies, but mostly about love” – you say about your work. A lot has been said about hippie, let’s talk about love. Igor Ivanovich, in my opinion, you did not have a beautiful and convincing love story. Arguing. Let’s put aside such nuances as the absence of the usual classic kiss in the film. You see, your main character is just NOTHING. The image that Stanislav Ryadinsky embodies on the screen (God grant him good roles in the future) is never a hippie leader. Dead, frail, saying some pseudo-wisdom, and most importantly - without the necessary charisma. I was struck by how this guy runs around Moscow, in order to warn about the “set-up” – only a person who has never run can spread his hands when running. And what happens after a minute of screen time - the Sun packs scattered cops and soldiers of the VB! The deadling materializes in Rambo! Moreover, it is interesting that for such things, he not only does not receive a term of years like 8-10, but also calmly escapes! Igor Ivanovich, tell me how you can escape from a tight ring with two cops on your shoulders and a girl on your arm!? Answer me, author: why should the viewer respect a person who steals (even if not for himself) shoes at a party, or carries a tired hungry girl with him, instead of going with everyone on the train!? In general, the Sun, in my opinion, is a completely unconvincing character. He's the highlight of the program! Accordingly, the love on the screen also turned out to be some strained, superficial, shallow.
I won’t say that the film was a complete failure – no, the individual episodes looked funny. But only the episodes, the depths I did not feel here.

I know where the sun lives, the sun lives in my heart.
The key phrase is that this is the only way you can perceive this film – with your heart and soul. It so accurately reproduces the atmosphere of that life that you perceive it as life itself. I've watched it so many times and found myself hoping for a different end every time. And this happens only in life – we are not given to know which story will end, otherwise “why live then?” So you don't see any shortcomings. What are life's flaws? It’s such a cool thing... life.
A good, bright story, bright and authentic images, delightful landscapes, wonderful music, brilliant cast, talented directing, wonderful camera work. I don’t remember a movie that so fascinated me, that I would like to watch and watch, to breathe that air, to dissolve in these landscapes, to experience these events.
The film ' House of the Sun' interested me primarily director Garik Sukachev. I had never heard him make a movie before. So I eagerly watched this movie and didn’t lose it. The film can become a classic of Russian cinema, but, unfortunately, not the world. This film has everything to look at: freedom, love, betrayal, loyalty, friendship, etc.
The cast, until now almost unknown to me, fully met my expectations, and I did not have a feeling of understatement.
Sasha is a naive girl who has just entered the university, not without the help of her father. He meets a young man by accident.
'That's how it all starts' - says the Sun, and it really started.
It is possible to say that the love of Sasha and the Sun is perfect. They are so in harmony with each other that the courtship of Sasha’s groom sometimes seems even ridiculous.
The sun is an ambiguous character. Perhaps this is a kind of collective image of the ideal person, because none of his actions does not allow to doubt his correctness, he is always exposed in the best light.
Do I have to give it to you now?
- Don’t give up on anyone or you won’t have anything left.
Friends of the Sun deserve special praise. The film would not be so wonderful without Gerda, who reads the Bible, without Juan, who sees his sister in Gerda, without Little, who tries to sell everything everywhere, and without Skilet, who always has reasonable thoughts in his head. All these characters give the film the color of the holiday. The film is a holiday, because everything in it is so natural, everything is joyful, bright and colorful that bad thoughts go out of your head, leaving only a good mood and joy from what is happening on the screen.
The film turned out simply excellent, leaving behind a sense of flight. I envy everyone who hasn’t seen him yet, because they have yet to plunge into the world of hippies and sit with them on the field, thinking about freedom and wind.
What are you doing here, Sasha?
Me? Hip. ..
I thought home was a place where friends were invited.
- Nope. Home is where people feel good.
The movie surprised you. It is this phrase in recent years, more and more often we hear about the worthy products of the domestic film industry, which stands out against the general poor background, like a pearl in a dung heap. “House of the Sun” from Garik Sukachev is exactly the same pearl, and sparkling not only against the background of manure, but also in itself.
Do you have any doubts?
- I'm sure you do.
- Congratulations. The first step to freedom.
Idea. The USSR is a time and place for prohibitions, for the bonds of the heart, consciousness and soul. However, these shackles can be thrown off if you try. You don’t have to love a country, you can love the people of that country. Great idea and excellent execution.
The system must die.
- Why not?
- Because every system has to die. The best system is the absence of a system.
Hippy culture. Maybe, I suppose, it was quite different and the film is not so true, but how realistic and attractive. People who wanted to free themselves from the oppression of the apparatus, the system, social obligations.
Take off your rose-colored glasses, childhood is over! It's time to grow up!
- Disgusting.
- Not disgusting, but right.
- It's a shame that this is right.
Actors. Stanislav Rudinsky - the real Sun. Stunningly airy, but not weightless. Radiant, but not transparent and not ghostly. Mysterious. Mysterious. Thoughtful. Interesting.
Svetlana Ivanova is pretty, but slightly infuriated by her squeakiness. A growing-up girl of rich and influential parents, who understands that the world to which she was taught, is completely different.
Daria Frost is the second sun of this picture. No, really?
Cinema Garik Sukachev (according to the script of the fiery and talented Ivan Okhlobystin) turned out to be very accurate in the sense that invariably falls into the goal - everyone will find something for themselves here: about love, and about music, and about a great but harsh country, and about the craving for freedom.
Do I have to give it to you now?
- Don’t give up on anyone or you won’t have anything left.
The atmosphere of the film is wonderful. Watch boldly and forget that this is Russian cinema - remember this only in the final credits, when you always fall in love with the film.

It is impossible to say exactly what Sukachev wanted to tell us in this film. Unfortunately, I have not read Okhlobystin’s books, I think she would have given some explanations about this. However, this does not mean that the film is about nothing, but rather on the contrary, it is about everything. This is a common feature of filmmakers.
Many scold a certain ' fictional naivety' the main character. First, it is necessary to make adjustments for the time. It is fashionable now at the age of 14 to be an experienced woman. In addition, Sasha is important to us not as a heroine, but as a kind of observer, dipping into the world ' Children of the Sun'. It is the contemplative position that she is awarded...
Very pleased with the work of the operator! In general, the film was made very qualitatively. Although there are errors in the director’s work and some other mistakes, the film is clearly catchy. I literally ' swallowed ' Time has passed without notice.
The film left a mixed aftertaste. On the one hand, I can’t talk about this film in a negative way. On the other hand, I can’t do anything exclusively positive. The pros of the movie for me are: 1. Image created by Stanislav Rudinsky (Sun); 2. Image created by Daria Moroz (Gerda); 3. Amazing beauty composition House of the Rising Sun, the excess of which did not spoil the impression; 4. Attempting to romantically and chastely portray the relationship of the sexes, somewhat unexpected for me, given the director; 5. Moment of humor (the scene of the appearance of the Small in the window of the house during divination); 6. The final shot with the appearance of the Sun against the background of fire.
Everything else seemed extremely raw, ill-conceived and illogical.
The heroine of Svetlana Ivanova does not pull on her summers, although young, but not to the same extent. It is simply amazing with the infantility and lightness of thoughts that manifest themselves in every word and gesture. Twice with her, a loved one has an attack, and twice she can not figure out what the matter is, despite the fact that she has already passed the exams to a medical university and even acted as it were. It evokes associations with the lapdog, which languishes and whines without the owner, and, seeing from afar, rushes to him from all legs and jumps joyfully. In the role of the full-fledged lover of the mysterious prince, she did not cause furious rejection, but certainly not because of the acting of an actress, but because of the talented acting of an actor who was able to convince me of the sincerity of his tenderness to her. There was so much warmth and affection in his eyes, so much condescension, that I finally decided — well, that’s probably what the Sun lacked. Maybe he was touched by her naivety. Maybe the rest were too afraid to cross the line because of his “divineness”, and this trait did not notice.
The sun played the actor, perfectly fit into the image, very charismatic and spectacular looking in this role. The sun stops attention only because of it, and it is a pity that there is no decent frame for this image. If you take your mind off the charisma and look at the Sun as a person, a lot of questions arise. What did Dad do to him? What was he doing? What was it for? What was he thinking? Loved what? What did you dream of? Why did he refuse treatment and why did he agree? A man without principles, who does not really know what he lives for, and who is ready to make deals with his conscience, if necessary, is how the Sun appears to the second half of the film, and even charisma does not smooth it out. And most importantly, all his dubious phrases, casting a shadow in the sun, do not add up to a whole character. There's no integrity. And it’s a pity, because I could turn out and remain in the history of cinema Hero, and it turned out just aimless strange character. Very attractive (the merit of the actor), but aimless. Of course, there is a philosophical subtext to this, if you try. We see the sun from afar, it comes and goes, we know nothing about it. But on this philosophical level, which requires more abstraction, more convention, the crew convincingly came out, in my opinion, could not, limiting themselves to the fact that stuffed the film with verbal parallels “sun” – “Sun”. Speaking of "hippie leader." I didn't see a leader or a hippie in the sun. This is a person who walks by himself, and friendships with informal groups do not mean leadership.
Attacks on the Soviet Union were in the film relatively toothless and not too depressing, although in the scene of the dispersal of the demonstration, police officers on horses with something like nuts, in the center of Moscow ... the authors did not confuse anything, they did not shoot about the Civil War, no? Smoking slangophile pioneer, aka Baba Beda, caused slight disgust. I can’t talk about “good” hippies and “bad” Soviet people, because I didn’t see a particularly and viciously emphasized confrontation. At least it wasn't screaming about itself. She smiled, though, as Gerda read the Bible. It's so Hippo to read the Bible and jam the port ... I know it's all a fine mental organization.
A separate minus is the stiltiness and pathosity of half the replicas of the heroes. The smoothness and pathos are distinguished by Gerda’s story about the Sun. Paphos almost all the phrases of Sasha, which are not fighting the questions "Why" and "Why." The apogee of pathos, of course, is “The sun lives in my heart,” with the appropriate gesture.
The love scene was long and absolutely nothing.
The film is clearly lacking.
Some of the faults can be forgiven for the final shot I mentioned. Very correctly and symbolically, it comes after the death of the Sun. In it, the Sun is still alive, and together with fire (association with the phoenix), this is a touch to the very abstract level to which the film reached only at the last moment and quite a bit, unfortunately.

The film could have gone up, but it's very underdeveloped.
It’s an absolutely amazing film that put me in a state of intoxicating wingedness. Thanks to the creators for giving just a magical feeling of lightness and boundless warmth.
This creation belongs to an amazing and very talented person Garik Sukachev. And shot this film, Garik on the novel of no less talented and wonderful Ivan Okhlobystin. I love both, which probably doesn’t make me objective. But it's the movie itself. In this sunshine that saturates the film, from beginning to end. I don’t want to say too much, but if I had seen this movie before. My life probably would have been different. No, I wouldn't be one of the hippies, and I wouldn't get into any other current. I just would enjoy life with great enthusiasm and not waste it on trifles. But apparently, awareness comes when you're ready for it. As the film says, “Man himself must reach everything.”
Now, the story. The film itself is about Soviet hippies, about love, thirst for freedom, the fight against prohibitions and of course about the sun. The sun that lives in each of us. In fact, the Sun is the main character of the film, absolutely bright and unusual person. On my own, I would like to note that Stanislav Ryadinsky, playing the Sun, is stunningly beautiful and very intriguing throughout the film. While watching, involuntarily begin to nostalgic for those times in which we did not have time to be born. The Beatles and the Early Time Machine.
But most importantly, the film cries out that life is not long enough to be used for something superfluous and for which the heart does not dispose. These dialogues with Vysotsky on the balcony. Total lack of time and boundaries. Love that does not bind hands and feet, but free love, without restrictions.
Yeah, I almost forgot. The film is based on real events.
Separately, I want to highlight the music for the film. Garik is still, first of all, a professional musician and picked up the soundtracks absolutely to the point. After watching my columns, Kalinov Bridge sang for a long time. And I imagined myself lying in the field grass, with a blade of grass in my mouth and a blue sky over my head.
Absolutely

What are you doing tomorrow?
- Tomorrow? There's really no one tomorrow.
- Not tomorrow, why not tomorrow?
- Yes, because there is still today, there is always today.
I want to say that hippie culture is very interesting to me, and therefore I just could not miss this film! “House of the Sun” hooked from the first minute, it is interesting to watch purely from a visual point of view. Nice colors, good angles, beautiful picture.
After a while, the question immediately arose, “Why such a heroine?” The heroine is absolutely not impressed. She's all ridiculous, stupid, acting too childish. I really liked the work of Daria Frost - here she wants to believe, she is a hippie.
The sun certainly impressed me. He is the embodiment of my ideal. But again, there are repulsive moments in his image. It is too perfect, sprinkled with philosophical phrases, always in the right place at the right time, etc. Visually, the image is clearly written off from the vocalist of Led Zeppelin - Robert Plant. You can see it in your hair, in your unbuttoned blue shirt, even your squint. But I think it's just a tribute to the era.
I really liked the director’s work, an interesting transition from stage to stage, angles ... I especially liked the love scene, or rather, the end of this scene, when the screen gradually turns pure white (usually it ends in black).
Overall, I liked the film. The most important thing about it is that there is a love story on the surface, but this film is not about love. I've had a lot to revisit.
Well, friends, a little more than a year after the release of Stilag, we welcome a film about a completely different youth - House of the Sun. I am not in a hurry to applaud.
Perhaps, among this wall of honor of the film "House of the Sun" there is no place for my modest negative review of this film. But, nevertheless, I would like to try to express my not very good opinion about this film.
So, to begin with, this subculture of hippies has long been a part of my life. No, I am not at all affected by this current, although it has had quite a strong influence on me, and still I often hear in my address “Hippie!” from friends, acquaintances and even just passers-by. And that sometimes flatters me.
Back to the subject. The film "House of the Sun" is primarily a film about the subculture and its survival in cruel realities. This side of the film I liked: literally every frame of the "House of the Sun" was saturated with the positivity and energy of the "informals" of that time, typical words of the hippist vocabulary sounded from all sides, the landscapes were pleasing to the eye, and the music and costumes of the characters instantly introduced me to the state of nirvana.
However, we are not watching a documentary, but a film with a full-fledged plot (in theory), but the latter looks quite abrupt: the rapid change of events, scenery and mood of the characters did not please me. It was more like an unsuccessful attempt to squeeze into a short time, or an unprofessional director, rather than a dynamic event. Usually in this case, the film helps out a capacious, but catchy ending, but even that, alas, was not. It was very sorry for the sun, and the scene with the fire was out of place.
The cast. So, the main character did not inspire me at all. Sasha's mood jumped like a pregnant woman. And for some reason, I was just amazed at how easy it is to "buy": a ticket to the "Sand Quarter Generals" and a trip to Bulgaria was instantly enough for Sasha to instantly forgive her parents and fiancé (by the way, as you know, I hate this actor).
Of course, I cannot say anything bad about Gorbunov and Frost - they were magnificent and delightful! And the scene where Gerda portrays a Jewish girl Katya left in my soul just a lasting impression. And, probably, it is worth saying a separate and rather weighty "Thank you!" to the girl who played Babu-Beda (well, or like her there). She very well conveyed the fighting character of a revolutionary woman living in the body of a young pioneer.
I will say the following about the main character. As always, he must attract the attention of the viewer, make the heart beat, charm, attract glances! But it's not a pro-and-zo thing that I regret very, very much. He's a handsome guy, half a head of curls, but he didn't fascinate. Sorry.
It was so sad to read what happened after the movie. I don’t like to know who died of what later, this is my own “cockroach”.
In short, the film is weak. But for what I really liked, I am ready to put a solid 4 out of 10.
