One evening, after seeing an advertisement on the notorious television channel, I decided to watch a patriotic series to celebrate our great victory. The first thought that came to mind after watching the above-mentioned commercial is that the series will be a remake, a television version of the film We Are From the Future. The hope was that the series would look like the first part, but I was wrong. Movies are similar only in a bundle, but the main reason they are different is that “The Fog” does not want to believe, you understand that you are watching a fairy tale, with dressed, but trying to play actors.
Why isn't the show worth watching? Infantilism constituting history and the associated multiple follies of scenario moves, actions of heroes. Seeing a “motorcycle knight”, “a football player-talker who is listened to for half an hour by Wehrmacht soldiers”, “kamikaze women”, “a sergeant falling into hysteria and disassembling a machine gun (thus leaving his enemies), for which his last subordinate lay down” and the like, you involuntarily close your face with your palm and look through your fingers. “Fog” is so not original that many scenario moves, after the quality of the cultural product is captured, are read from the air.
Separate mention deserves the end of the film, which could and will be heart-wrenching, if before it was all the action of “the Mist”. What did you want to tell us about it?
Probably in the opening screensaver for the film should have written: 'Some need to die to understand that we celebrate to this day ...'

I advise everyone to watch this film, I repeat – it will not leave you indifferent. Everyone knows if he can resist the enemy. No one is safe from an enemy invasion. And remember these key words: ' Homeland-one for all time'.

When I first saw this movie, I had a thought – and how did it get released on the screen, even if not on the central channel? Before that, it was painful to look at the soldiers of the Russian army who did not want to serve, did not learn to serve, or knew basic things about guard duty and weapons. The wild antics that led to the march of the throw speaks of their mental folly, and the punishment in the form of transfer to 1941 showed what they are worth. Paradoxically, in the past, I began to look at them more interestingly - can they survive? And then the creators put everything on shelves - there is no discipline you will die or be captured, you will be killed if you fall asleep on the post, war does not forgive sloppiness. It turned out that the longest lasted those who were able to comprehend the simple alphabet of war in terms of discipline, as well as to understand what mutual assistance is.
And my initial negative opinion began to change for the better, and finally became positive. The message of the film was that pay tribute to the war veterans - they deserved it, not the fact that if you were in their place, you would survive and win. Yes, of course, the tape may seem pretentious, hurrah patriotic that everyone reforged and realized the feat of veterans, but they realized! We could not go through this, even not strengthened and windy heads do not understand that there is a war of death and famine, and survivors are heroes by definition. I may be overly sentimental, but the final shots, they take by heart when standing soldiers see both veterans and people from the past who died before their eyes.
The actors played at a good level, who needed to show the changes of the heroes in the war, who could not accept that reality died. Maybe not a brilliant game, but not a rejection. And most importantly, the actors managed to show at the end, those feelings that began to overcome the heroes on May 9. Directorial and camera work looked at the level and visualization did not disappoint. The result was a good mini-series.
Reviewing this year, made a discovery for myself, I was no longer irritated by the beginning of the film and the characters – they are a given of our time, it is so to say a look at the generation, and I really want not to have to learn to fight like the heroes of the film. I also hope that the connection of times and the memory of the feat of those who won the war will not be lost.

But in this film, the Great Patriotic War of the People’s and Sacred #39; the war turns almost into a courtyard showdown. Guys do not participate in fights and battles. Heroes ' Fog' only for small things take revenge on the Germans (' six of us and their six'); release their friends from captivity (exposing women to mortal danger!) and go in pursuit of a top-secret weapon. All this is more like American films about wars they have not seen than Russian films about the Great Patriotic War.
What would you do in 1941? Arseniy Tarkovsky, the father of the famous director, has an amazing poem in which he reflects on how it would be good to know everything in advance or go back and warn who should be killed. It is necessary for me to say this: Come here and death will rush by! 39; Guys don't take advantage of being from the future. They only sow more death and more suffering.
Modern defenders with ' Kalashy', on the one hand, quite soberly reflect that they should not interfere in the course of history and need to find their way home as soon as possible, but on the other hand, this does not prevent them from singing about ' snow-white fields near Moscow' (which have not even been there yet), ' to give' their ' Kalashes' Germans and a lot of everything to get stoned.
And even this can be understood, because the guys were not ready to get into a real war, when in the army they were taught ' only curbs to paint' But here's the problem: even during the war, characters hardly evolve.
Are these modern soldiers fighting for their homeland? Have they become real, ideological defenders of the Fatherland? I don't think. Some evolution was traced by Ferstein, the rest did not believe a gram. Many scenes are written to knock out a tear and they knock it out. But you worry, you cry, and you yourself think with indignation: ' I do not believe! deceived! on feelings speculate'. The hero reads the speech over the body of the old man as five-graders read poems by heart in school - without expression, just a memorized tarator. You don't believe Glinnikov and his axe. You don’t believe almost anyone and nothing and cry in this film just because you can’t calmly relate to the theme of the Great Patriotic War.
In addition, the film is delayed, barely watched to the end. It is a pity that such films appear, and it is a pity that there is a target audience for them.
I may be a perfectionist, but if you're going to make a war movie, you're going to make war, not something else. We citizens of the Russian Federation were born and grew up in a country that has a rich military history, which does not forget to be updated in our memory very often, and everyone knows and understands what war is like using the example of their family. And in my opinion, Hollywood movies with Rembas mowing down enemies in packs, and pseudo-patriotic snot ala pearl Harbor should not be rolled in our country, but as I see from local reviews rolls for a sweet soul, which is very regrettable for me personally. Could it be that our population has fallen sober view of life, instilled 'bread and circuses' - products with GMOs and Hollywood virtual reality? I would like to believe that this is not the case.
I would recommend a modern director, taking on such a difficult task as making a film about the Second World War for a former Soviet audience, before cutting money, to see how it was once when talent and art were valued more than they are now: money and connections. It will be enough to watch ' They fought for the Motherland', ' Liberation' to already be ashamed to shoot such a fog, but you can see the conscience and self-criticism of the current filmmakers are not in use. Well, about everything in order:

The idea itself is of course good - soldiers of the modern Russian army with AK-74 fall during the Second World War, it would seem to unwind this idea, transfer it to our designers in the 41st AK-74, look, and the war would end not in the 45th, but in the 42-43th, finally, there would be no such victims, but what the screenwriter's imagination was enough - for local skirmishes with the Germans and constant drinking moonshine with the same Germans, then with partisans.
2. A lot of improbable situations that do not have even close chances for reality in real life - this is the situation when a soldier suitable from the back to a German calls him and waiting for him to hit the barrel of a gun in the heart area, begins ' to cure ' a German who does not understand a word in Russian about high spiritual values and the unkindness of war - how. Have you ever been in a situation where a barrel of a loaded and ready-to-fire weapon is pointed at you? I have been, and I assure you, at a moment not up to philosophy, when with all the senses the organism senses that channel of death which emerges from the black womb of the trunk. An unprepared person literally stiffens and hair, as they say, stands on end - this is real. That's why people are being trained for real combat, when they're being shot over their heads and let them get used to guns to relieve this instinctive stupor, and here what -- the philosophy of an unfired soldier at gunpoint -- is not plausible, at least kill. He was killed. And the situation when the rarest artifact falls into the hands of the Germans and they send it to the airfield, in a boat with oars with one soldier and an officer on the river, which flows through hostile territory, which is teeming with partisans and just populated by the occupied population - this is nonsense! Can you imagine such a situation in reality? I don't. And the horse understands that the colonel, in whose hands this artifact fell, had to immediately in the strictest secrecy notify the top leadership up to the Fuehrer about the captured unusual small arms, which have all the signs of technology inaccessible at that time. What should have been followed by an immediate reaction - the sending of a heavily armed escort up to tanks to safely deliver to a nearby airfield a trophy, where it was already waiting, for example, a high-speed bomber accompanied by a link Me-109, to deliver to Berlin really with security important cargo. And such real cases were in history, the same famous transportation by plane to the USSR of a destroyed British tank with dynamic protection during the Arab-Israeli conflict. But in this film masterpiece was smart only for 2-seater rubber boat
with oars. It's even amazing that she made it. This can be considered another implausibility. Again, the situation with the fact that the fate of the private that returned to the fog remained unclear - whether he returned to the future or not, remained unclear. And as for the notorious persecution during the semi-film of the AK assault rifle, which got to the Germans (again, it is not clear where the rest of the AK went, although they were to be captured in the same guerrilla camp) and the fit of inability to leave the wounded comrade by a sergeant, as a result of which the sergeant, disassembling the machine gun, throws him immediately with a private firing and withdraws back into the incomprehensible fog again, to which all the sacrifices were then left in the name of the return of the trophy - remained unclear. And that knightly act, when riding a motorcycle and with an axe, against a machine gun, and even in the end to get this very axe, when the chest is pierced several times through... and again it is not clear how a sergeant ran there quickly on foot to shoot a German who had just managed to hit his head on the wheelchair. And the situation when a feeling soldier at the campfire freed the German who killed a lot of people, in response to the fact that he generously showed him a photo of his Frau and her offspring - is this also a reality?? This list of absurdities and implausibility can be continued as long as you want, the director at least before releasing the film, at least once watched it to understand how absurd his creation is.
3. Now about the cinemas, there were a lot of them, I will focus on the most memorable. The most conspicuous is already at the end of the film, the moment when a hefty soldier distracts the Germans while his 2 comrades make their way to the house where the AK lies - if you notice, in that shot when they squatted behind the motorcycle, then in the hand of an AK sergeant, although before and after in the frame in it a Mauser rifle. The second film blunder, when a cart with barrels is blown up on a mine, on which the eared Fritz, who has just shot Katya for nothing, runs away from revenge, so in the frame you can see that at the time of the explosion around a green forest, in the next frame, when 3 soldiers approach the scene of the explosion, then around an incomprehensible dried meadow covered with dry grass and dried short bushes - how do you understand? How do you make these changes in half a minute?
In general, I have expressed my point of view. We can go on, but I want to wish the directors not to shoot anything like this.
I am sure that this picture was created by the authors in a kind of attack ' money rush'. This definition is invented by me, and I like to believe that I was not mistaken in it; after all, and yet the inexperienced eye will understand that the authors ' Fog' had great difficulties with the idea of the film. To lick the whole rod of ' We are from the future' and it is foolish to hope for the blindness of viewers is, alas, not the best way to create a movie. And only patriotism 'Fog', designed to close all the minuses, pushes people to praise this creation in detail.
The truth about the war? Someone dares to say that here, you see, there is a truth about war? Perhaps the current generation is indeed very plausible, and the actions of the current generation, let us suppose, are also close to reality, but does this allow you to spit unceremoniously on the real truth about the war? And I’m not talking about the stupid merging of the main theme with ' We’re from the future', born of complete despair and lack of ideas in our directors.
Play actors - well, I'm not going to find anything special here. It’s not perfect, but it deserves seven out of ten, because the actors really did their best (and even the pompous speeches were played at a consistently high level). However, such a game still seems to me somewhat amateur compared to the acting in ' We are from the future', a relatively good, something hooked me film.
Here are the behaviors of many characters... What kind of guerrillas will trust the first tramps that come across and cooperate with them without much suspicion? In the war, they would have been shot immediately without finding material evidence, or taken under arrest. About the rest (that is, about the further plot of the film and its punctures) generally silent.
And, anticipating the reaction of people who praise this film and say that, they say, he and ' We are from the future' different, and that here the factual errors can not be considered mistakes, I say: shower the viewer with the details of military operations – do not need. It is not necessary to turn a movie into a documentary, but there must be reliability. Credibility in the behavior of partisans, in the appearance of Germans, in the conversations and communication of people, in the simplest historical facts. In acting, after all. Did Soviet filmmakers and Soviet cinematography (the best that ever existed in the world, in my opinion) not teach the current filmmakers anything? Pompous speeches, not too convincing play, lack of bright characters - here it is, ' Fog' and a bunch of similar TV projects. And let sometimes there are well-shot moments, most of them 'Fog' - the movie is immature.
It’s a tedious business to rate movies made simply from ' nothing to do'. No ideas - take a successful film (of which in the current Russian cinema - with a gulkin nose), slightly rework the main plot and instead of the lake make a portal of time travel fog - ready! ' Universal recipe for cinema!', - the authors hint.
It is time to come up with something new, gentlemen of directors, and not to produce films built on one basis, submitting to the thirst for monetary success.
This is a beautiful transformation film. In the beginning, we see ordinary conscripts, for whom words about defending the Motherland are nothing more than words. I don’t think it’s worth condemning each of them for this, they’re just bright representatives of our time. And 'life in the fog' a very fitting association. We often do things now ' for a tick'. They are simply serving in the military.
And these loose guys get into 1941, the first year of the Great Patriotic War. Everything's fast, everyone's on edge. And they try to fight. As you can. They're soldiers. With one live round for everyone. However, not everyone can risk their lives, there are those who decide to escape. But we see in the course of history for the heroes one by one the words ' defense of the homeland and the future of compatriots' make sense. By the way, this film shows us that to make a decent movie, you do not need expensive special effects.
I watched the film as a difficult but distant story, and in the last seconds, the depth of transformation of our heroes opened. All together and each individually. And a stinging tear rolled down my cheek. I also regret to learn that for Igor Shmakov, who played the main character, this film is the last in his acting career. Bright memory. He, like the rest of us, had a great time.
This film is a great attempt to revive human values. I highly recommend it!
The Fog is a 2010 Russian, fantasy, military, television drama. This unexpected picture of directors Ivan Shurkhovetsky and Artem Aksenenko turned out to be a strong, soulful, military picture, and such war films are very lacking in our modern, Russian cinema. In Soviet times, they shot worthwhile and strong films about the Second World War. Now, for some reason, military films are shot mediocrely and somehow without a soul, without the power of the spirit of a Soviet soldier.
I remember this picture. The film turned out to be good, it is saturated with patriotism and fortitude of real men devoted to their homeland. The movie is much deeper than it seems at first glance, and I am glad that I accidentally watched this picture.
We see how modern, Russian soldiers went back through the fog during World War II. Here they were waiting for a real meeting with the Nazis, and they saw with their own eyes how everything was. The soldiers contributed to the destruction of the Germans, and this event they will never forget.
The movie is good and its story is really strong. The directors caught the essence, and touched the viewer with their fantastic story. I think the film is positive. It has its flaws, but overall the movie is not bad, and it touches with its story. Of all the actors, I liked Igor Shmakov the most, who played the sergeant. He's a good actor and played clean. The attention was on him. The directors did not make a mistake with the main character, the actor is really interesting. Svetlana Ustinova was a good match for a Soviet girl from the outback and also believably played, such was a true Soviet girl at that time. Some scenes from the film were very dramatic and touching. The movie looks tense, and shot with dignity, there was no sense of falsehood when shooting, which is often in modern, Russian such films.
What would you do in this situation?
The more time separates us from the events of the Second World War, the stronger the insanity of writers, directors and producers becomes. For me, the genre of war cinema is the most difficult, because existing in this genre, the actors need to be every second at the exorbitant level of the game - organically experience the fear of real death, hunger, uncertainty.
In the film 'Fog' the problems apparently began at the stage of the script work. When viewing the first minutes of the pathos picture, it immediately becomes clear the task that the screenwriter set for himself - in turn to kill the main characters so that they all return to their time. Realizing this, the viewer has to observe only how the author will present a particular death (directly ' Destination Point'). Especially ' liked' the scene of the escape from the camp, when the heroes have already settled in the boat and ' Ferstein' in German uniform runs up to his, but at the last moment receives a bullet from a German soldier who turned around the corner. For a moment, imagine a picture from real life: at night, hundreds of prisoners of war are running away, you, the viewer, for example, a Wehrmacht soldier, run out of hiding and see one soldier in German uniform and a hundred raging prisoners. Question: Who are you going to shoot? If you open your fire in the first place (the form is your own, and the night), then welcome to the ranks of the scriptwriters. By the way, with contempt I treated and treat those commentators who find fault with blunders like: ' ... there was no such tire on wheels in April 42!!!! it appeared only in May 42!!!'. These are not blunders at all, but the realities of a time-consuming shooting process, where there are enough problems without tires, believe me. However, I have an extremely negative attitude to the children's and youthful idea of realities in mise-en-scene. On the snack one more ' child-youth blunder': the heroes swim in the boat, barely got out and at any second can hear the shots of the pursuers, heart pounding, all the feelings are concentrated, the gun on the nose of the boat; suddenly, on another boat there are fisherfish, clearly not preparing for attack, ready only for the attack of a 6-pound carp, but, oddly enough, the fishermen are the first to understand what and open fire. However, the form of our heroes is still German. Apparently, the Germans then had an order to shoot every soldier of the Wehrmacht, if he interferes with fishing.
The dialogues of the actors are written so organically for each of the situations that one wonders with a silent question to the author: ..a You, dear, are aware that the soldiers ... kind of softer ... are not at the kitchen table now, but under bullets, which, incidentally, sometimes kill, by the way?
Despite the fact that he always used to protect the actors, to protect this team and its work, the desire simply disappears. First, the cast is picked up worse than nowhere. There are types of clearly comedic roles, which are like a drum about the war and all sorts of things there ' Pesticks with shooters' as long as they pay money. Only the sergeant (the late actor), played on the level, yes, Colonel, and that's it.
Bottom line: a hastily shot film by May 9. More like a state order for construction, when the main contractor takes a lot of money, but hires guest workers, makes purchases of the cheapest building material, hires junk equipment, but according to documents - elite workers and materials from Europe.
And again another custom film about the Great Patriotic War was released on screens.
Without bothering with their heads filled with ' talent ' the screenwriters borrowed the idea of space-time movement from another pair of not unknown Russian films. Everything else, except for this, we have already seen 100 times at least.
We have a group of ordinary Russian soldiers who magically and foggily find themselves in 41. In this group, the standard set of units: a womanizer, a smart man who speaks German, a first-class commander, a coward, a patriot, etc. The eponymous nickname of a smart guy with the name of a popular domestic search engine, absolutely ' not obtrusive'. I hope in their next films we will see a cheerful and friendly brewer named Klinsky.
A film in the genre of fiction (extremely not scientific), but rather a sick fantasy ... nevertheless, the film tries to bring light to the immature minds of teenagers, showing certain events from history, and problems continue.
Traditionally, we are shown that Mother Russia was attacked by Neanderthals grunting at the German, without the rudiment of culture and intelligence, besides being obsessed with senseless murder, robbery and violence. They do not look like Germans or military people in general, they are like lousy actors with the faces of Soviet drunks.
Our guys are also good, they are no smarter than their brethren in mind and enemies in the plot, and differ in that they are ' kind' and love their homeland. Their main occupation in the film is the competition for the Darwin Prize (for the stupidest death).
Technically, the film is not rusty-eyed, except for very hilarious film blunders, of which the film has enough stock. What is the unexpected return of a German motorcycle?

I called this movie anti-patriotic, and here's why.
This is a very bad and low-quality film, touching a very important and touching heart of many topics. Trying to drum patriotism into the youth, the authors resort to lies, unreliability and infantile, spitting presentation of the plot. Many students and students were forced to watch this before the holiday. From the course of psychology, I know that the method of such imposition causes the opposite effect. Do you want the Great War, heroism, honor and valor to be associated with the poor, worthless, shameful? Continue to rivet like this ' patriotic' movie about the war!

The fog is always scary and it's hard to breathe in. As in war, it is frightening and breathtaking.
It is difficult to imagine yourself in the place of these guys, however, very difficult. Throughout the film, I tried to figure out how I would behave in their place. It’s easy to judge... both their actions and the film itself. Of course, there are flaws, but for the most part, I liked the fog. In some places it is a bit pathetic, sometimes too sweet, but this does not spoil the overall picture. And the young actors were happy, well done. Especially Ilya Glinnikov, also known to many on the Russian sitcom Intern.
For me, one of the most memorable moments was the fragment when the boy was lying on his lap, his dying grandfather and their dialogue:

I think that conveys the whole point of the film. The boys understood at what price victory was won, what war was, what pain and fear are, what it is when bullets fly overhead from all sides. What they used to treat carelessly and disrespectfully became their life and death. . .

In the domestic cinema, or rather among the films on the military theme, a new trend appeared: "If, yes, kaby ..., then how would it be?". It is well known from folk wisdom that the result would be the growth of mushrooms in the mouth. Apparently, these hallucinogenic mushrooms and ate the creators of the picture in question, the result of which was the appearance on television screens of something indistinct.
It is not difficult to guess “Fog”, very similar in meaning to the picture “We are from the future”, tells about a group of modern young people serving in the army and incredibly fell into the forties, when the world was swept by the Second World War.
In general, the fact that people talk with such ecstasy about the topic “if I were in the thick of those events, how would I behave?” suggests that the horror of that war was realized not all, apparently poorly in school. I think a normal person is not something to argue, even a thought will not allow, this is not a joke, this is really a terrible page in the history of mankind. And such paintings as, for example, “Go and see” or “Schindler’s List” perfectly sobering, killing all the imaginary romanticism of battles, showing that it was, above all, a war for the preservation of the soul and moral appearance of man, the victory in which was snatched from the clutches of an impersonal degraded mob of fascists. And, if you take up the interpretation of the proposed idea, then you need to do it wisely, and most importantly with your soul, approach the topic under consideration seriously - after all, you do not film the book, but swing at the history ...
In general, the concept of fog and its “amazing” properties is quite original and interesting, but not executed in the best way. This is typical of our film industry: “We wanted the best, it turned out as always.” The creators of the picture tried to show some natural lessons of life, they say, do not be pigs, respect the people whose feat gave you the opportunity to live in a free country; war is scary, you will not wish on anyone, etc. However, everything was implemented superficially, absurdly and meaningless.
The reaction of the main characters, when they discover that they are in the past, is kind of sluggish, like, "Oh, war, come on!" What should we do here? Some pretentious speeches, when, for example, one of the army men for some reason stood up before a German and let us explain in Russian that no one needs this war, or another who told a local grandfather how great it will be when we win. What theater?! The impression was that “guests from the future” are trying to explain to the direct participants of the events of the Second World War what kind of war this is, how to behave and what to feel, saying “we know better, we read books and watched movies.”
Someone compared this picture to a campaign, yes, it really looks like a commercial - say and do anything, just do not forget to insert key phrases into the speech and turn into the camera from a favorable angle. That's ridiculous!
Well, come on, modern heroes, what happened in the past? Apart from the clothes and the surroundings, nothing speaks of the time in which everything happens. The guerrillas are generally similar, I apologize for the expression, to some kind of junkies. The scene in the forest is not much different from the apartment of the nineties and “garage parties”. We're here, what are we going to do? Do you want to sing to a bayana??? And in general, the picture is depressing, I will not go into further details, such blunders can be listed indefinitely.
The film was made... well, as we have now all removed, bad. Again, to achieve the conveyance of the spirit of the era in question, simply reduced the saturation and contrast of the image, such as "ancient". The action in the film begins to develop only from the middle, when the story with the Kalashnikov assault rifle appears. In principle, the idea is not bad, in response to which the normal logic of the actions of the main characters is traced. However, the question arises, why was the previous half of the picture needed? And the finale... I don’t even know what to think, apparently, mushrooms ate not only the creators of the picture, but also the heroes. “Does it seem to me, or does it?” – you wonder, everything shown on the screen with the characters of the tape actually happened??? What’s the difference, though...
Acting jobs were successful in places, especially I want to note the actors who played the main roles: there were live dialogues, and convincing emotions, but everything is somehow in pieces, to the full, alas, no one gave everything. And, again, the reaction of their characters to everything that is happening was, to put it mildly, strange, not realistic, in short, I did not believe them.
In the end, the movie is sad, and not because of the plot. Unfortunately, once again I am convinced of the lifeless state of domestic cinema. Where we are going at this rate is not clear.

In an attempt to show all the senselessness and ruthlessness of war, the filmmakers clearly overstepped the stick. The death of all soldiers is idiotic. “No one dies with dignity” is the motto of the director’s tandem.
The number of kinoblups, stamps and just a hulking approach to work is off the scale.
Here and "Tigers" in the 41st year and grenades, exploding without delay, and idiotic Germans are not at all "Aryan" appearance (thanks, not Arabs). There is also a Russian "Rembo" - with an axe, on a motorcycle against a machine gun and an improvised "Molotov cocktail" (it turns out you can simply pour gasoline into a bottle and set fire to it). There hasn’t been a good war movie in years. And that's sad. Pseudopatriotism is the scourge of our country. Paphorous dialogues, pathetic faces, pathetic music, stories sucked out of the finger - to be honest, is already sick of all this.
We want young people not to forget the War, appreciate and understand the feat of their ancestors, but instead of good, high-quality, truly patriotic films, the state shows this.
We shot so many TV series about bandits and cops that we completely forgot how to make films about the war, and after all, we were good at it before.
People! Don't watch that movie. Do not let such a "miscarriage" stand on the conveyor.

A "Fog"
Everything is like in the fog I love war movies, especially when it comes to the exploits of the Russian soldier during the Great Patriotic War. So when I came across the film and heard the praises about it, I decided to watch it myself. The movie is quite long, so I expected to enjoy a lot of watching. The beginning is shown very naturally: army everyday life with a boring soldier’s life, three very intelligent soldiers who decided to shorten the path on a bus carrying veterans, etc., but everything changes dramatically when a group of hapless soldiers led by a stupid pussy old man gets into the fog. Further, either the screenwriter is tired of writing extra text to a whole detachment of soldiers, or the "actors" are tired of playing, but the detachment decreases before our eyes and their death looks by no means as heroic as the creators wanted. For example, why ride a motorcycle to the Germans swimming in the lake and tease them, when shortly before when checking the existing weapons were a pair of grenades, which they could throw from the shelter without incurring large losses. Also in the frame regularly flash bottles of murky liquid called moonshine, why? Of course, I understand that this is the so-called national drink, but it was clearly superfluous. 2.5 hours I waited for the development of events, but there was no coherent love line, nor the development of mental abilities of woe-soldiers, and everything slid to the return of 1 Kalashnikov machine gun, if my memory does not change 8!. One was safely returned, the other went with a cowardly soldier into the fog, and with 6 others let the Germans have fun. It is a pity that on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory, Russian filmmakers have collected such a crude film. Original
