Light, colorful and life-affirming fantastic action movie for once. If you’ve been waiting for this movie, you’ll love it. Unfortunately, I didn't wait. Still, from the film adaptation of DC I wanted to expect something diametrically opposite.
The acting is wonderful, there is someone to admire in the cast, the special effects are very beautiful. There is no Suspense, there is no thriller, there are no unexpected plot twists (at least for some reason I was very much expecting the final twist).
The characters are written flat: in fact, we are shown only their positive aspects. In this regard, the characters do not seem “close and like me”, provoking to put themselves in their place, but simply standards of heroism, “people from the poster”. So, revealing the characters is about how exactly the hero will solve this situation, which requires choosing between black and white and showing all the heroism that he has. The final battle is more like a restrained exchange of replicas / blows than an active culmination of an action movie.
The expected noir (well, what else to expect from a DC movie?) is missing in the frame as such. There are no antiheroes among the characters - except that a pathetic attempt in the form of a Scottish sniper, all the mental problems of which are introduced and immediately safely forgotten. He has become the most profound character.
Even the stylish and inhuman horrors of the First World War - it would seem, the most beneficent topic! - are shown "nothing": it is impossible to be sad because of the accidental death of the extras left behind, in which, please note, none of the heroes is to blame, and if to blame - then with a lot of mitigating circumstances. In general, moral issues in the film are not raised.
The promised feminist background degenerates into juicy gender stereotypes (I’m a girl, I want to do this now, oh no, I already want to do this, I won’t deal with it, oh, by the way, I love it, oh no, I already want this way) and flat humor (an incredibly long scene with fitting outfits, a secretary, walking with a sword shield around the city).
In Batman v Superman, which I do not want to defend now, there was, however, a bright individuality - in the "comic" localization of what is happening and heavy-weight noir visuals, coupled with trip dreams sculpting an almost psychedelically unstable plot (if you watch the arthouse - goes perfectly). There is no such individuality at all. Look there is something to cling to, but emotions and logic – no.
In general, DC is making progress in “averaging” its films, destroying any distinctive features that, not even the hour, may not please someone. Judging by the movie rating, it helps. Unfortunately.
After 'Suicide Squad' and 'Batman v Superman' very doubtful whether to go to 'Wonder Woman', but still the interest was higher and buying a ticket I went to the cinema.
The film tells the story of Diana, the daughter of the queen of the Amazons. The story itself is presented to us as the memories of Diana, already in our days. We are shown the homeland of all Amazons paradise island ' Femiscira' tell where and why the Amazons appeared. We are witnessing the rise of Diana as a warrior who has no idea what power she has. The crash of an American pilot’s plane, chased by the Germans, interrupts Diana’s peaceful life. She learns about the war that has engulfed the whole world and goes to his rescue. . .
In general, the plot is simple, but this is not its disadvantage. The film looks easy, the plot develops smoothly and completely immerses the viewer in the film. The film has everything you need for a successful superhero film: spectacular battles, humor, worked out main characters, self-sacrifice and moments of heroism.
Gal Gadot is great for the role 'Wonder Woman', both in appearance (in my opinion, the similarity to the comics is stunning) and internal state. In the film, we see the inexperienced, young and naive, but at the same time, selfless Diana. At the same time in the same 'BvS' we seem to be an adult and hardened Diana. Only a great game Gal Gadot deserves to see this film.
The other characters also did not disappoint: courageous Steve Trevor, played by Chris Pine, throughout the film radiates charisma and is a kind of teacher Diana for life in the human world; Trevor's funny secretary, who added humor to the scenes; Mercenaries, each of whom is a unique character, albeit little revealed, but still very pleasant.
The antagonists, as is the case recently in superhero movies, are very weakly revealed, they just exist and just want war. Doctor poison, which clearly has some history, is not disclosed at all, it is just chemical for the Reich. Also, the image of the god of war Ares, I was not impressed.
Another of the disadvantages, but this is most likely nitpicking, this is the final part of the film, where all the main locations are surprisingly close to each other (village, castle, base with bombs), but it is not significant.
Overall, I really enjoyed the film, and I really hope that 'DC' raising the bar for themselves will not go below it. I put this film 9 & #39;Zen: Warrior Queens' out of 10 possible.
The DC Cinematic Universe, slowly but surely, is on its heels behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There are two DC films coming out this year, Wonder Woman, which is coming up and Justice League coming out in November. We are talking about Wonder Woman.
About the plot:
The Amazon from Themiscira, Princess Diana, learns about the existence of the external world and stands up for it, in order to rid people of evil forever.
About the movie:
I'm pleasantly surprised. I can safely say that Wonder Woman is an order of magnitude higher in quality than, say, Batman vs. Superman. Perhaps because it is a solo film about a superheroin and it is given enough time to reveal the character.
Also, I am pleasantly surprised by the female director Patty Jenkins. In my memory, this is the first female director I watch. He did it one hundred percent.
In terms of genre component, there is a good cocktail of action movie, fiction, history, comedy and drama. Often, this is very difficult to combine, however, the authors were able to hold the position when the action is interesting to observe.
In terms of historicality, it was interesting to look at the world, the First World War. Very few films have been made about it, most of them are about World War II, so I enjoyed watching the war on screen. At the same time, very well shown the horror of that war, wounded people, destroyed buildings, death everywhere.
The camera work is at a height, special effects please the eye, the action scenes are simply amazing. This time the soundtrack was not written by Junky X-El, but nevertheless, it is very energetic and cheerful.
About acting. Gal Gadot I can safely call the canonical Wonder Woman. Anyway, she's doing great, you can trust her and her character. Regarding Chris Pine, I can say one thing, his character is worried about the fate of the world, so he wants to save him. Chris acting tries to show the emotions and feelings that his character feels and he succeeded.
Of the minuses, I can single out only a slight drag on the film at the very beginning, but gradually the picture is gaining momentum.
To sum it up, Wonder Woman, a breakthrough in the DC Cinematic Universe. If the Justice League and subsequent DC superhero solo films are as stunning, it will mean DC has caught up with Marvel, and perhaps even outrun it.

I listened to praise about this picture from all over the Internet. Come with your wife. Already at 5 minutes, during a bedtime tale, I hear about such lines from the monologue - the Amazons appeared to reign the world, and they succeeded. After 5 seconds, the Amazons revolted to get rid of slavery. I have a thought in my head: why rise up when there is peace on the planet? The film never gave an answer. Well, by the way, such illogicalities will be throughout the timing. In general, the whole film was clearly associated with the first film about Captain America, and Wonder Woman managed to avoid suffering from a number of joints of the first Captain, such as a protracted beginning, a weak action component, the lack of “chemistry” between the main characters, while adding a bunch of blunders:
The director persistently wanted to show us how, without wise female decisions and actions, representatives of the stronger sex look pathetic and stupid, by the middle of the tape, the fantasticity of the ideas embedded in the film regarding the place of a woman in this world categorically prevents empathizing with at least someone.
The purpose of the Amazons? Motivation of the mother of the heroine - the main Amazon? A whole layer of the world of the film is simply crumpled and thrown out, he has made his role for the seed and can be free.
The director still could not seem to decide – for children she shoots or for adults, constantly dialogue in the process of narration begin to come to adult topics and suddenly suddenly cut off some kind of joke for eleven-year-olds. With the murders, the horrors of war, too. The rating of the film constantly jumps from +5 to +16.
[I’ll go back to the infamous first Captain movie – from there, entire pieces are copied, slightly adapted for the local story – the scene with the plane, the plot with the village, the relationship of the main characters, and Wonder Woman herself looks like Captain America with superpowers (I haven’t read the comics, I judge only from the two tapes indicated) The feeling of deja vu did not leave me the whole session.
What in the end - the film I'm disappointed, from delayed, it was shot by a woman and her peculiar look at the place of the main character in the world of this picture destroys all the storylines, the characters cease to empathize, Fire-Bab will save everyone, if they themselves do not heroically decide to die in the most stupid way, someone had to watch the first film about the Captain, and stay alive. It is not interesting to watch a movie where everything revolves around the main character, and for unnecessary clumps and throws away without explanation.
A superhero movie with a meaning that looks easy, despite the fact that as usual it goes 2 hours 15 minutes.
We are beautifully and humorously shown the story of Diana (Gal Gadot) and a cute romantic line with Chris Pine as American agent Steve Trevor.
The actors did a great job. Especially the naive optimism of Diana, who has never seen the horrors of war and human cruelty. Horrors, in which everyone is guilty, without looking for one guilty person, on whom you can blame all your sins. Wartime atmosphere is shown in colors and selected locations.
The plot is quite simple, but this is not a disadvantage of the film.
Special effects and music level. I was glad to see the fighting. Beautiful and spectacular in slowing down. The island of the Amazons looks colorful, especially in contrast to the views outside it (there would be a machine gun for the Amazons, then they would do everything at all).
A bunch of special effects at the very end... well, it’s a superhero movie, so it’s quite expected.
But the main villain looked strange (here is how one frame, it is one frame from the scenes with him, undermines his entire image and causes the whole hall only he-hee).
P.S. There is no post-credits scene in Wonder Woman.
Man himself chooses the road, according to which he will go further.
Beauty Diana goes on a new and completely incomprehensible adventure. Why? The answer is simple, humanity is in danger, if not now, then never again will the princess of the Amazons be able to fulfill the mission of her people, and will not stop the bloodthirsty Ares. God went against humanity, he killed dozens of his brothers, he spared no one, he did everything for one thing, to prove to his father how flawed his creations were, they are not worthy of life on Earth, they only destroy it.
And everything begins so beautifully, there is no fear for you, there are no disasters, sufferings, victims among loved ones. However, it is impossible to escape from suffering, the echo of the First World War reaches the Paradise Islands. Only by a miracle do the girls manage to cope with the onslaught of the enemy, but there is a survivor, and in the opinion of many, including the Queen, it was he who led the killers into their lair. Kill, you can't pardon. Diana was against, and she knew what she was talking about, because millions of ordinary, innocent citizens suffer, and this should not be.
Gal Gadot, a beautiful warrior, a real miracle woman. In the course of the film, the actress had to change her images more than once, but she always remained inimitable, always at the top. This is impossible to play, it is either there or not. In this case, there is a lot more.
As they say, fighting alone is boring, and even the most experienced soldier needs support. Diana became a member of the Resistance Squad, with only five warriors, each worth more than a dozen allies. German, you will regret having contacted Ares, you will know all the power of the Light, and may everyone who has only sworn to the side of darkness be punished.

What you can learn from the next film adaptation of American comics:
(1) The film begins with the moment that the female voice pushes painfully familiar speech in the spirit of many annoyed Optimus Prime. Peace, people, salvation, struggle and other attributes.
(2) An attractive Jewish woman in Paris reads a note in Russian. And so Bruce Wayne is beautiful, and Tony Stark is not. It's Russian. Mighty and great. Absolutely.
(3) The good old villains must be just like General Ludendorff and Dr. Yad. Remember how they laughed at the villainous laugh when they made a prank and locked the door.
(4) The beautiful gilded sword is now the most coveted accessory for evening dresses. Wealthy ladies have probably already given orders. Just like Wonder Woman. But take it easy.
(5) For the first time, viewers are introduced to a hero who was sculpted from ... clay. Of course, Zeus himself then breathed life into this clay, but somehow alarming. A beautiful woman who was not born through quality copulation. Sedimentary rock and divine breath: a thunderous mixture.
(6) In 'First Avenger: Captain America' a certain Steve was flying a dangerous cargo plane at a critical moment. Another one, Steve, was flying a dangerous cargo plane at a critical moment already in Wonder Woman 39. The first one had a connection to talk. That's what technology has come to!
(7) Before the film, I believed the ancient Greek myth: Ares is the God of War. But the system broke down. From now on I will know that Ares is the God of truth. You have to trust him because he doesn’t recommend nonsense.
(8) During the training of the Amazons, a reasonable question arises: why do they fight like everything happens in slow-mo? Zack Snyder is only responsible for the plot and production.
(9) Why didn’t an Arab scout tell anyone in the whole movie (he was just a comedy driver) and a Scottish sniper shoot nobody? It happens.
(10) After the massacre for a German village, the remaining residents found enough beer and other booze to celebrate the victory. I thought they'd be sad.
In fact, the film Patty Jenkins liked. To my surprise, of course. For some reason, many consider it a big drawback how naively and monotonously the main character argues, getting into a new world for herself. And I think that it looked quite cute and good, because it is not often you see in a blockbuster such a virgin and eager for justice girl. Unlike the cynical and experienced life, Natasha Romanoff is a wonderful child who really believes that he can save a German from Ares’ machinations. Absolutely not.
It can be done in the direction of a typical ending from DC. Night again, a mighty villain out of this world again, more words and less action. Set next to the fights from the last three films of the studio: 'Batman v Superman', 'Suicide Squad' and 'Wonder Woman'. Calc is standard. Too long final battles of heroes with antagonists can tire, not dispose. Besides the ending, the rest was pleasant. The main loss for the heroine made me sad. What? You will. It was fucking sad.
After a lot of negative reviews that hit the films “Batman v Superman” and “Suicide Squad”, the directors of the DC Cinematic Universe decided to release a solo film about Wonder Woman. She has already appeared in BPS, and in the upcoming Justice League, apparently, will play an important role, so the appearance of a film about this superhero is quite logical.
And I went to this movie with high expectations, because I really wanted to finally get a DC movie that was accepted by both critics and audiences. I must say that Wonder Woman did not disappoint.
What makes Wonder Woman one of the best superhero movies of all time? For starters, beautifully written characters. None of the characters in this picture is an empty “cardboard”, all have characters and distinctive features. The director managed to make the audience empathize with all the characters, both key and secondary, interested in their fate and follow the development of relations between them. This was thanks to well-chosen actors, including Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, David Thewlis, as well as Ewen Bremner, Danny Houston and others. All of them perfectly coped with the assigned roles, making a great contribution to the atmosphere of the film.
I also want to mention a beautiful soundtrack. The part of it, which is the official thematic music of Wonder Woman and which can already be heard in Batman v Superman, is still delighted, and the rest of the musical compositions are selected very well. Composer Rupert Gregson-Williams did a really good job.
On special effects, in principle, it makes no sense to say: most films about superheroes with a large budget computer graphics at an extremely high level and “Wonder Woman” is no exception.
Separately, I want to talk about the villains of the film. Dr. Yad, played by Elena Anaya, although a secondary character, completely shifts the attention of the audience to himself every time he appears in the frame. General Ludendorff, played by Danny Houston, however, remembered a little less. But, unlike Batman v Superman, this time the creators did not reveal the identity of the main antagonist of the film. It was not in any trailer, so his appearance on the screen was not only a complete surprise, but also increased the overall impression of viewing.
Finally, I was pleasantly surprised by the balance between the dramatic and humorous components of the picture. There are a lot of jokes and gags in this tape, while, unlike the second Guardians of the Galaxy, not all of them are associated with sexual organs and copulation (although they are present), and some are really fun (most often because they sound at the most appropriate time). At the same time, the picture is surprisingly much drama. The viewer is shown the horrors of the First World War, up to the use of poisonous gases. Also, there are dramatic moments in the film, connected not with real historical events, but with the characters of the film. At the same time, as already mentioned, the director managed to distribute the drama and comedy throughout the film so that it did not turn out either too cartoonish or too boring.
In conclusion, I want to say that Wonder Woman is almost a perfect film about superheroes with an interesting plot, a beautiful cast, clearly spelled characters, a worthy antagonist, epic fights and an excellent soundtrack. It is hoped that the next films of the DC Cinematic Universe and Justice League in particular will hold the bar set by Wonder Woman.

It’s amazing how many songs have already been sung. This is my first negative review. No film is that bad, but the lack of negative reviews (at the time of writing) is a kind of injustice to the far better movies that have them (because you can’t please everyone). The movie turned out to be very ambiguous, and I absolutely do not understand where such unanimous approval and admiration comes from.
The script is lame on both legs.
The legends of the Amazons, told in the beginning, are absurd to the point of being fooled. Zeus created people pure and blameless, his son out of envy (found something to envy) instilled in their minds hatred, malice and depravity, because of which wars and strife began. And Zeus created the Amazons, whose only ability, attention, ability to fight, to turn people to the light and bring peace back to earth. But they fell into slavery (that’s the turn!), then rose up and fled, forgetting about their purpose, to the island, courtesy of Zeus, who, by the way, by his own efforts defeated the envious, but somehow did not finish off and somehow died himself, being immortal. Not a bit of effort on the part of the writers.
The world of the Amazons is shown somehow crumpled, schematically: here they mean they live, so independent and slim, and here they train, preparing to fight with Ares, whom all the other gods could not defeat with a chunk, and the remaining time, apparently, lay each other stylish hairstyles and apply stunning makeup. How are they organized? Who does it anyway? They're all warriors. How do they reproduce without men on the island? What do you do in your free time? What is their social order? I understand that to some this may seem meticulous. But it is such details that give the fiction organicity, integrity, plausibility, so that everything does not look like someone’s thesis project.
Then you inscribe Diana with all this Greek mythology into a universe where Superman lives -- for a second, an alien. Who created the Kryptonians? Kryptonian Zeus?
You have a person running away from the chase on a plane, do not understand why crashes at Themyscira, which, I believe, should still be decently removed from the coast of the continent, and it is almost immediately overtaken by boats with a boat. How did they track him down so quickly?
While Diana is lightly wounded in a battle on the coast and shielded from bullets, in other scenes I will not say who throws objects at her, and even her, with monstrous force and nothing, not even a bruise. Suppose that she did not know her nature (which does not cover wounds in the battle on the island), in vain covered herself with a shield, being invulnerable. But then why did her aunt cover her up from a bullet? She knew, she couldn't help but know, everyone on the island knew, except Diana herself, which is also strange. For many years of her life, she could not help but notice her strength, her speed, her reaction, which no one else had. And invulnerability is not so easy to ignore (knees, elbows are all ripped off in childhood), besides during hard training. Accidentally generates a shock wave with its armbands and again no questions.
These sleeves are generally a separate topic. She hits bullets with them. Yeah, yeah, predicts their flight path, and manages to get their forearm in. But ' Smoked' Lunderdof manages to hang her a couple of slaps (I'm not talking about another type) - the guesser did not work. Then the tanks throw and the walls break, then her impulse to bulk stops her ordinary lover. He just takes her by the shoulders and stops her. She didn’t even notice him, so she couldn’t stop herself. In general, the rules of the game are not respected.
And more. In my opinion, the choice of the actress for the main role was unsuccessful. Diana is a warrior, hardened by years of grueling training and should have at least a small but relief (in other words, athletic physique). And on the screen, Gal Gadot, who looks like she's barely used muscle in her entire life. The refined physique is an excellent quality in the fight for the title of Miss Israel, but does not fit with the image of a warrior.
One of the critics thanked the creators for the fact that the main character in a miniskirt did not look ridiculous on the battlefields of the First World War. Amazing and amazing! That’s what you don’t have to be thankful for. Diana just looks ridiculous in the midst of mud, tortured soldiers, war-torn landscapes in this motley outfit, with a perfectly laid hairstyle, with a gait from the hip and with a mouth constantly open in an erotic manner. Even more amusing are her heroic poses, when she pulls her hands back, standing over the defeated enemy, or on her half-bent legs, hiding from bullets with a shield, holding the other hand in the gear for the strike. Apparently, they thought it should look epic.
Finally, the final. Here the degree of inadequacy increased avalanche. The main message of the film was that people started the war because it was in their blood and the gods had nothing to do with it. And in the end, they knocked it over. Bravo. What does it start with? Steve's friends try to prevent his self-sacrifice, and a minute later they try to help him, and Diana is thrown like a doll, and after a couple of minutes she is back on the horse. Typical ' Royale in the bushes': no chance to win and there is no incredible power. The piano is typical, but not the only one. A little earlier: steal records, without which it is impossible to finalize the formula of poison gas? It's good that we have a crumpled piece of paper with some smear that pushes the scientist to a brilliant guess, and theft is no longer a problem, and the plot can be moved on. And the bonus to the guess is a gas to raise the tone, giving incredible strength to the one who inhales it. Shouldn't I give it to the soldiers once it's gone? They could use it. Nah, why? We will give the antagonist at least a couple of minutes to last in a battle that he could not foresee, and the drug was taken, well, I don’t know, for drive or something.
That's it. Describing flaws may seem chaotic, petty, and pretentious, but however it may seem, it’s definitely not complete. I'm just tired.
I'm not going to stop with merit. In the end, this is a negative review, and not many people before me have stopped at them.
I would like to make a reservation that the criticism is caused by joints of implementation, and not the very idea of a female superhero. I'm only ' for' Diana is a character in the movie universe, but not in such a stupid way. She could have been made much more noble, without the wild fluctuation of her abilities and vulnerabilities, without that fucking outfit where you don't know how to follow the action with Diana or stare at her ass and legs, and without the constantly open lips giving everything some inappropriate sexual overtones. Ducks for men are invaluable, but the view of Diana as a person does not contribute.

DC, welcome back. Or rather, with resurrection!
After the failed “Batman v Superman” and “Suicide Squad”, there was almost no hope that the next film of this movie universe would be at least average.
I'm willing to make mistakes over and over again.
If there are goddesses, they should be.
If you make a movie about female heroes, this is it.
If you laugh at the movie, that's it.
If you cry over the end, so be it.
Gal Gadot/Diana is too beautiful for this world. So is Chris Pine/Steve. You can't do that.
If we take all the possible disadvantages of this genre like demonstrative pathos and an abundance of slow motion as pluses, then it will be 2 and a half hours of real, sincere pleasure. Not to say that the film will fight with the Nolan trilogy, but, on the other hand, the Beginning was also not the most brilliant – but then grew into the Dark Knight. Well, let's wait, hope and believe!
Someone compared the beginning of ZJ with the Lord of the Rings. Yes, God be with you, on the Lord you openly yawn the first (12) 2 hours, here the plot takes the bull by the horns. But about what reminded the First Avenger - I agree, the same atmosphere, only by the second half of the film in the First Avenger, this atmosphere was ruined by some fancy weapon, knocked out of the overall picture of the war and here even Diana in all her guise of the Amazon harmoniously discharged into the general course of the battle.
And should we talk about a great, memorable theme? Thank you Zimmer!

minus a point for washing away all your makeup with tears!
Many joked about the fact that we have already seen a hero with a shield that beats the Germans. I was philosophical about it because different universes, different heroes. It didn't make me laugh when I watched it. What does it mean when the main character is called Steve? ?
I don't know how DC and Wr.br. do it, but these guys have a talent for finding and bringing in the poor. It seems that these guys are counting on the younger generation who are not familiar with everything that was done under the auspices of Marvel. This film is just a wild compilation of plagiarism, both conceptually, plot-wise, and in individual episodes and visual decisions. At the same time, the movie is so clearly designed in the style of Batman Pr. Superman, that involuntarily find parallels in the presentation. However, the picture is devoid of charismatic stars, so banal greed for the money spent kept me from leaving the session. And you know what? I wish I had left. You can’t get your time back for any amount.
Origin wildly resembles the story of Moana from the animated cartoon of the same name - you know in advance who will die, only motivation raises a lot of questions.
Gal Gadot is beautiful, she tries, but she has little skill and experience. Chris Pine is the only outlet in all this dull spectacle. But dialogue will kill faith in the DC universe even in the most optimistic fan.
Special thanks to all these bloggers who praised this movie, sorry for the word cinema. If before I had doubts, now I am absolutely sure of the venality of these types with their recommendations. If you don't believe me, go see me. But I warned you. Boredom, plagiarism, rampant pathos and an overabundance of slow mo. I don't recommend it to anyone. The only reason why I put 2 points rather than a stake is a good plot twist in the final. And that’s all, there are no more pluses in the picture.
P.S. Is that how you go to Justice League after that? God save the DC Universe!

This month has been very rich with brutal women. Female evil mummy, female superhero, women rule!
I’m not a fan of comic book studios, because all these fantastic things and superheroes that always save this world, I’m terribly annoyed. But not to see how it will be a woman – I could not.
The paradise where Diana was born is a place that everyone would like to be. Eternal sun, greenery and not a word of war. Their island is hidden from prying eyes and from the god of war Ares hunting them, so everyone lives in peace and harmony, not knowing what the World War is behind the fence.
On the wonder island of Themyscir, breaking through the defense, the British spy Steve gets. Unexpectedly for themselves and the Amazons living there. There is a connection between him and Diana. Rather, it is their mutual desire to save the world from the villain and save humanity from suffering and war. But is our world worth saving? Diana believes that unconditionally. We may not be very pleasant creatures, and sometimes we even really want to kill, but we are still not bad small and worthy of a chance at salvation.
After not very successful ' Batman v Superman' from DC Comics, the film with Gal Gadot in the title role is not tired of being praised and called almost the best comic picture of the year. Great cast, boring plot, amazing special effects - why not admire? Moreover, everyone has already noted how harmonious Gal Gadot looks in the image of a miracle woman and how much she looks like her combat suit, covering exactly half a meter of the body. I've never seen a man who hasn't drooled at this sight. Well, the girls just like her confident feminist message.
And her inexperience in some everyday matters sometimes caused laughter in the whole room. Her naive reflections on marriage, love, the place of women in society, peace and war, justice, honor and valor looked very nice, but at the same time raised topical topics: ' Why swear in love if you love not to the grave?', ' Why can't you live in peace if war brings so much grief?' ' Why can't you save absolutely?' These questions sound so childish, but adults still find it difficult to find answers to them.
P.S. Ares could have been a better choice.
I remember how long I spit from 'Batman v Superman' (oh no, Marthaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
First of all, the film is designed only for a female audience. What, however, is clear - according to statistics, women in the world are several percent more men. But I don't understand why in this case insult the minority? By saying ' insult' I'm not exaggerating. In the film, everything is built on the fact that the male family is not good for anything and women should rule everything (after all, only thanks to the fact that men were in power and the Second World War began - all others, by default, too). In one scene, the heroine says it in plain text - men are only needed for reproduction! All the male characters in the course of the story are represented by either greedy selfish tyrants (Ares) or stupid crammed sympathizers (Steve Trevor). One Diana in this realm of male ignorance is a bright ray - finds such ways out of situations that no one else thought of, is engaged in enlightenment, delves into the political and social component of the country and the world. Men just stare at her like a strange animal.
But even if we try to abstract from this, we do not see anything clear in the film. With the exception of Diana herself, the characters are absolutely template (even the story of the sniper was simply leaked). Jokes... well, half are not bad, and the other suffered either from editing or from localization (could not translate the wordplay). The final is long and predictable (despite the so-called double bottom). The villain, as I said above, is not merely clichéd to the point of ugliness, he is the quintessence of all selfish tyrants. It is impossible to believe in its reality. The graphics also fails – I don’t know how it happened, but the film looks only half of the stated budget (no other than the Russians were in the film crew).
Wonder Woman: The Right Approach to the DC Cinematic Universe
Starting in 2013, the DC comic book-based movie universe causes me a very controversial impression, “Man of Steel” in general I was impressed, the colorful antagonist, chic action, a good original of Superman, but since Goyer wrote the script this spectacle came out due to Snyder’s strong directorship, although his decision to apply the gray color scheme I did not like, dark tones always prevailed in the films of “God of Cinema Comics”, but they perfectly balanced with the saturation of the cinema, if this spectacle is truly beautiful in the background, however, that everything is beautiful from the broming film series. "Batman vs. Superman" came out even more controversial, the soliak which was arranged by "Warners" is essentially 3 films in one, Superman's solo film, Batman's soup, their confrontation, we will add here Dumsday, Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor, a huge flash forward in the direction of "Injastis", here is such a motley "soup" that I was of course a lot of such a gloomy catalyst, which was called upon by the filmmaker of the 7th, and the main act was also thrown out of the film, and not so quickly by the filmmaker of the scene, but the "aggery". It turned out like an average action movie for me, the Duo Deadshot-Harley Quinn is good, some action scenes succeeded in glory, Amanda Waller is straight epic, but everything else resembles a cheap version of "The Avengers" and "Guardians of the Galaxy", the script was written in just a couple of weeks, so the general concept of the picture is raw, inconclusive and tortured, the idea of "Suicide Squad" is great for a crazy R-rated action movie in the spirit of "Kingsman", was an excellent mundane cartoon, the Warros are ready to successfully answer from the team. And here comes the least advertised of all 4 superhero blockbusters solo original about “Wonder Woman”, the trailers were quite ordinary and monotonous, the idea of ala “First Avenger” is not to say that impressive, and solo films about superheroes did not have successful examples, so much I did not expect from the film, in fact, it turned out if not the best then certainly the smoothest and most pleasant film of the “Extended DC Universe”.
The main decoration of the film is Gal Gadot who again embodied the image of "Wonder Woman" on the big screen, if in "BPS" she had a secondary role that showed her only as an action character, then in her solo film she opened up for a new one, we evenly showed the way of Diana from a naive cute girl to a warlike heroine, watching this rebirth one pleasure, I do not tire of repeating "Diana turned out insanely cute, pleasant, and most importantly interesting", but when she starts her film competing with the essence of DC heroes, it is a good person in this, but it is just that she is a good person in this. Steve Trevor performed by Chris “Kirk” Pine made an excellent company for the main character, the comic situations that this duo generates are very pleasing, humor is funny, balanced and pleasant, the exact opposite of the MCU films, in general, dialogue is one of the main advantages of the picture. Action in moderation and he does not let you get bored, the final battle can be scolded for a very noticeable CGI, but this does not spoil the impression much.
The antagonist was not bad, but it does not represent anything special, and in general the situation with the villain could somehow be more interesting to beat, or rather an extraordinary message loses its potential and everything boils down to a typical confrontation between good and evil. “Wonder Woman” in the end still leaves only positive emotions, it’s a good original solo, positive, a little naive, but insanely pleasant and even some kind of lamp, finally about the female character of the comics came out a really decent film.
P.S.
The DC logo was pleased, it added a screensaver in the spirit of opening to the wonderful multi-series about “Justice League”.
This little review might not have been negative had it not been for my high expectations for the film. Before going to the movies, after reading about rave critics and positive reviews, I expected to see something really strong and interesting. But the film was a weak passerby for me, unfortunately.
Basically, all my complaints about the illogicalities in the plot. There were so many of them that the whole film became a complete nonsense. In the beginning, it tells you why the Amazons were created, but it tells you that I didn’t understand anything at all. It turns out that the Amazons can not really do anything, because Ares still killed almost all the gods (nothing to do with ancient Greek mythology of course), the Amazons did not save anyone, but just sit under the dome and hide from everyone, they do not want to protect anyone.
They do not seem to reproduce themselves, and for some reason they instill in the only child on their femi island that it is made of clay, and not born in a normal way. All the Amazons keep silent about her parent and insist on rubbing her some nonsense that all wars are the fault of some particular individual, and not people / gods / Amazons.
Throughout the film, the only serious conflict was that Wonder Woman does not understand that the First World War was not the work of the god of war, but everyone around her understands it, including the Amazons themselves. And in the end, the filmmakers suddenly divide the whole conflict by zero, because it turns out that Diana is right in her delusional theory, imposed by her near mother.
And many, many more stupidities, such as the scene where the heroes decided to infiltrate the fascist party, pretending to be Germans, and took some Turk with them, on the appearance of a Jewish person, while not having a pass, but they are of course missed and even did not look at the documents.
Since the film touches on the theme of war, which was in reality, I was even somewhat offended that in the film this war was won thanks to a girl with bare legs, and not the joint titanic efforts of people around the world. So the question is, why did Wonder Woman allow World War II? After all, from her theory, the fascists are actually good and kind guys who fell under the influence of an evil god, but since she already killed him, where did Hitler come from? There are no bad people in the movie.
The love line is template and boring, I did not feel any chemistry between the characters. Given that Diana first came to the world of people, for some reason she is not at all surprised by planes, tanks and assault rifles. And all the talk about the differences between the human world and the world of the Amazons is reduced to vulgar jokes and hints of sexual intercourse.
As for the action scenes, it's better than the plot. Although it seemed to me that the slow-motion scenes were too many, they were somehow cheap, for the most part. My favorite track from Hans Zimer was played only once.

Wow, but this movie makes you wary already at the first appearance of the new DC screensaver! In their unsuccessful attempts, not only to catch up, but at least to close the gap from Marvel, they even almost copied the screensaver, well, come on, these are small things.
To make it easier to understand this film, I will divide it into 3 parts.
Part 1. Beautiful, albeit cliché beginning, secret/hidden place, order/defenders, chosen, some kind of threat, well, what the hell with it is the comic book 1941! Everything is compensated by the chic views of Themiscira and just stunning Gal Gadot, which drooled almost all the male spectators in the hall. Then charismatic Chris Pine, jokes are poured one after another, the characters are not poorly revealed, you begin to really penetrate, believe in them, which is not in every comic movie. An interesting transition from a paradise island to hellish London, in general, you sit enjoying the main character, and you wait for the epic to begin. This is the only good thing that lasts 40-50 minutes.
Part 2. Heroes get to the front and begin complete thrash and sodomy. When Wonder Woman goes to receive machine gun fire and throws away shells with her shield, it becomes clear that this is another stupid Hollywood blotchbuster, for one moment when she jumped 20 meters up and destroyed half of the chapel I thought that this woman in general is not a woman and she shouts something like HALK CHALK CHALK CRUCK!!!! Then there are the most boring banal attempts to create love between the characters surrounded by fake scenery, you begin to look at the clock when all this is over?
Part 3. I thought it was already the bottom, but no, the writers roll out to us 54-year-old mustachioed god of war, from the ridiculous appearance of which the hall is just filled with laughter, and from his stupidest talk that people should be destroyed by bad people, it just becomes awkward and very ashamed, how could such meaningless nonsense be dedicated to the ending of the film? For whom were these dialogues written? Philosophy for 12-year-olds. Once again, love has triumphed, the fifth element just rests on the sidelines. After the death of the god of war, soldiers take off their masks and are very happy, they say that the whole war is over, purification has come, but the second world war is ahead, not? If the writers decided to change the scene from the second world war to the first, then why left this moment?
The third blunder from DC, talentless BPS, worthless Squad and though more licked under Marvel, but still stupid ZJ. The only big plus is that Gal Gadot's character was very well revealed, it's very important, but it's still scary for the League, can you see DC doesn't want to make a good movie, or just can't? We'll see.

Give me 1 Amazon and 10 people and I will win the war.
That's what Sir Alex Ferguson's military prototype might have been, if he knew about the Amazons. The coveted "player" really helped the Entente win the war. We were not told this at school.
At the height of the First World War, a small island of ancient Greece called Femiscira grows beautiful Amazons under the dome of God’s protection and enjoys summer 365 days a year. But one day, the skies of ancient Greece within modern civilization were crossed by the pilot on the fighter of the Imperial German Air Force Steve Trevor (Chris Pine). The defense, clearly not suggesting the appearance of a flying cuttlefish, failed, and Steve Trevor was safely saved by the best of the Amazons, the daughter of Queen Hippolyta – the wonder woman Gal Gadot. Alarmed by the news from the front, she leaves her wonder island and goes on a rendezvous with Ares. And all of a sudden, Patty Jenkins' perfectly tied script knot burst.
Perhaps the best impression of viewing left Gal Gadot. It seems to me that this is the only thought-out character from beginning to end. Formed and brilliantly played image of the Amazon is a candle in the darkness of the chaotic action of other actors. A special thank you to Charlie (Ewan Bremner). He deserves his own spin-off titled "Miracle Sniper." To sweep the whole picture with a rifle, being almost named Vasily Zaitsev, and not to make a single shot is expensive. It's hard to say anything definitive about Chris Pine. It seems to be there, but at the same time it is not. Steve Trevor left nothing behind except ashes. But the biggest surprise was Ares. The ancient musculature that vanished into the Tartars would clearly be useful in a battle with the Princess Themiscira. But instead of muscles, a mustache, and a hat on the head. It remained to be heard the cherished phrases “a thousand devils” and “puppy” and the image of D’Artagnan would have been formed definitively. Absolutely flat, faceless and devoid of divine spark, Ares evoked more compassion than trembling to the bone. According to many directors, “actors are empty vessels into which they put content.” After this Ares, you start to think that there is something in this.
The plot of Wonder Woman is not different, but a pity. The theme of ancient Greece could become a powerful foundation in the construction of the entire script, but in fact it turned out to be only a beautiful wrapper, mortally floating on the surface of a cliched swamp. In certain scenes, you get the impression that you’re watching Joe Johnston’s The First Avenger. The similarity of the color scheme and the general entourage of both films makes us wait for the appearance of another amateur to fight the shield, Captain of All America - Steve Rogers. But just as Captain America does not appear, so does the whole picture of what is happening on the screen. The idea that came out at the beginning of the film from point A does not come at the end in point B.
Personally, the film disappointed me. The anticipated breakthrough of the DC comic book series was only an attempt to spoil the blood of the Marvel universe, nothing more. Once again, the comic book adaptation of the publishing house is unable to realize the outstanding ideological potential of both the heroes and the story as a whole.

A slightly closer look at the DC Comics Cinematic Universe of the new century reveals that overall, things aren’t as bad as they seem. There were Nolan Batmen, Murovo-Snyder Guardians, there was Keanu-Constantin, there were RED spies. But then Superman came straight from Krypton. The Man in Cowards Over Losin paired with Stone Ben Affleck gave us the most depressing comic book of recent years. And appeared on the screen girl in leather linen looked on the general gray background quite a bright spot. It is logical that soon she got her own film: a year later on the screens of Wonder Woman.
Next to the ordinary world, in which people, created by Zeus in his image and likeness, live, there is another small world, a real paradise called Themyscira. The island with a mild subtropical climate and white Norman shores is surrounded by azure waters and inhabited by beautiful Amazons, which Zeus invented out of his head, but still turned out to be like people. Their main purpose is to train hard in fencing, archery and hand-to-hand wrestling, in order to be able to repel the attack of the rebel god Ares, licking the wounds inflicted by Zeus.
One creature on Themyscira is even cooler than the Amazons. Queen Hippolytus made her daughter from clay, and Zeus breathed life into her. Even the gods sometimes miss the valve: along with life in Diana breathed a little divine power, which began to grow with the girl. And it's very convenient, because one day, the handsome British spy Steve Trevor punches a hole in the fabric of space-time with a plane and falls straight into the azure depths, dragging a pack of German soldiers on the tail. Diana saves a strange creature (she has not seen men yet) and participates in the elimination of the Germans, but wants to save even more good and kill even more bad: she goes to the human world to stop the First World War with Steve.
On the screen, this introduction looks no better than what you read. Swimming, dreary, predictable, to solemn music, but absolutely necessary. A woman walking the streets with a sword, a shield, a tiara and a colored corset cannot be left without explanation. You need to swallow this bitter pill so that the whole film does not experience spasms at the sight of Dianine outfit. The pill is bulky and bitter, like many in DC, but with popcorn and Coca-Cola is edible. It's beautiful, but what's not beautiful now where 100 million is worth? If “beautiful” were enough, disaster movies would not be extinct. In general, the shield, sword and corset are not an anachronism from 1941 (it was then that Wonder Woman was invented), but so it is customary in the Amazons. That's what Zeus wants.
You can blame the Supreme and not the best physics of the divine jumps and flights of Diana – why would we judge them by human standards? The pretentiousness, pretentiousness, artistry, acrobaticity and fantasticity of the fighting scenes can be explained again by Zeus, producer Zach Snyder (remember “300 Spartans”), as well as the fact that the film’s director Patty Jenkins was born on a military base.
Suddenly, it cut off. The spy pilot was not only spirit-lifting, but also multitasking. Not only did he create a miracle for a woman, he made the DC superhero writers joke. And even the great and terrible Chris Nolan did not allow himself such audacity: he took it with naturalism and combat psychotherapy. And characteristically, it was witty. One good joke from Steve, the second, Diana has already picked up, there are a couple of cute awkwardnesses, there is already a small hint of mutual interest, and then, you see, the story smoothly flowed into a win-win direction: a simple-hearted and powerful guest from Another World explores Our World and gets into funny situations. Such successful examples come to mind as the Shooter from the Dark Tower or old man Hottabych from Old Man Hottabych. So goes Princess Diana (um, coincidence?) through pubs and headquarters, opening the sores of English society, distributing teeth, calling cowards cowards, admiring the brave, rushing to help everyone who needs help, and struggling to resist the hypocritical human “wisdom”.
And when the main and rather typical superhero rubbing begins, with a sword, shield, tiara and a corset (thanks, not the colors of the American flag, thank you for having time to syronize over stupid uniforms), it is perceived better than it deserves: we still relish the unexpectedly pleasant sensations from the previous scenes and already love the characters.
How not to love Wonder Woman? Princess Themyscira Diana and in the recent past IDF soldier Gal Gadot, a brave Amazon, a student of Antiope and in the slightly older past Miss Israel, naive and kind-hearted, open and uncompromising, who studied 12 volumes of “On Bodily Delights” by Clio herself, beautiful in any form, and how she will loose her hair and put on a tiara – so in general the goddess. And if you start picking on her acting, who are you after that?
A superhero comic book is almost always a symbol, a deliberate convention, a predetermined lie. That is why Logan stands out from the brethren. The question is how you will use this untruth. Already twice mentioned Christopher Nolan in his “Dark Knight” masterfully used the features of the genre for the study of extreme sociopsychology. The creators of Wonder Woman have unfortunately gone down a path of much less intellectual resistance. Careful in the next movies, dear DC superhero writers – you finally got something decent.
Feminists around the world are rejoicing: the screens released a film by a female director about perhaps the most famous superhero of all time – Wonder Woman.
On the way to the cinema, I knew a few things: 1. The film breaks box office records (hello to all feminists). 2. It lasts almost 2.5 hours (from which I immediately wanted to cry). 3. The lead actress was Khan’s girlfriend from Fast and Furious. No, of course, it was also clear that this is another superhero movie, and here the definition of “superhero” is not used as something positive. Lately, we seem to be on the assembly line presented movies about superheroes one by one, so interest in this genre I have long been lost. In my humble opinion, better than Nolan Batman, yes, all three parts, nothing will be removed, so I go to such films with low expectations.
The main problem of the film is timing. 2.5 hours is too much, because it is positioned as a summer popcorn blockbuster, if they cut the film by at least 40 minutes – it would be easier to breathe. An incredible number of close-up shots and slow-motion shooting. But everywhere you need a measure. Of course, it is nice to see a beautiful woman on the screen, but it is even more pleasant when this woman has convincing acting abilities. She’s not a bad actress, no, just subconsciously the whole film in my head revolved one thought: she’s still a model, not a militant Amazon.
But it is not for nothing that girls around the world want to be like Diana, that is the name of Wonder Woman. They want to be like a brave, strong, fair Amazon princess whose naivety and aspirations don’t make her weak. This is a film about how a fragile girl turned into a woman who was looking for herself and her calling, who fought for peace and justice, and who along the way found something that was not written about in her books (they were clearly written by ardent feminists). Captain Kirk, that is, Chris Pine, that is, Steve Trevor, she found in the ocean when he flew to her directly from the sky. According to the classics of the genre (as in the mermaid), Diana rescues him from the water, and in his semi-faint eyes she appears to him as an angel in the flesh. He will not stop thinking like this until she shows him her heroic power, which her mother and aunt kept silent all this time. She went to war with a pure heart and intent to restore world peace, to end the horrors of war, to return people to happiness, goodness and light. And that's beautiful. But I’m not going to watch this movie again. I think I’ll listen to the soundtrack again.
Before I went to Wonder Woman, I knew what to expect. If the notorious “Suicide Squad” is really a passing clip, stretched to film timekeeping, then in “Batman v Superman”, which, although it came out not as expected of him, but still turned out, Gal Gadot caught my attention in this image. I caught myself thinking that during the film I was telling myself “amazing” and everything in the same vein, rather than “researching acting” as it is now done. Honestly, now I can say that I probably looked like one of the characters in the movie “Shawshank Escape” when they were sitting in the theater waiting for Rita Hayworth to appear. In general, the casting did not fail.
I’ll mention the theme song, oh, it’s a win. Moreover, the composition itself and how competently it was inscribed in the trailers and the films themselves (including BPS). It seems that in recognition for me she will stand in the ranks with “Gentlemen of Luck”, “Team A” and “Fort Boyard”.
I note that I go to such films not hoping that I will find in them answers to questions about the mysteries of life, but for, let’s say, entertainment and getting emotional heroic experiences and drama, for which I prefer DC. Moreover, here the heroism is rather noble and there is no feeling that I got into the blockbuster version of the best issues of the Unshlag with the addition of beautiful pictures, as it was, for example, in the second part of the Guardians of the Galaxy. I really liked how they conveyed the naivety and unconditional faith in the good of the heroine. The gentlemanly image of Chris Pine went to the plus. And in general, the romantic line is transmitted very reverently and sensitively, with dance and falling snow. I was very moved and I was impressed.
In general, it turned out a good film with a life-affirming aftertaste. I got what I wanted.
The story is not new, and the character is a grandmother.
Watch the movie 'Wonder Woman' I was expecting something like a Man of Steel, only in a more atmospheric environment. And I was right. But not everything. Wonder Woman is a film about becoming a heroine, about accepting the cruel essence of people. This story may be beaten, but what does it matter if they succeed? If the story is interesting and takes place at such an interesting time (World War I)? I’d like to mention how excited I was about the similarities to Battlefield 1. When I watched it, I realized it wasn’t a superhero, it was fantasy. That is why we are approaching the disadvantages. Wonder Woman is built plot as a superhero, which is forgiven for the shortcomings of the disclosure of forces due to the emphasis on the picture, but in essence it is pure fantasy. Fantasy must have an explanation for his magic and all the nonsense around him. There must be rules, limits of opportunity. The director failed. The film has now become an indicator of still tolerant feminism, but in some places there is too much (see the scene with a scorched battlefield). The main disadvantage is the pathos and playfulness of villains, as if in Bondian. Many viewers did not like the fact that 99.99% of the action in Slow Mo. I don’t agree with them, my eyes would start to bleed from such boring and sharp fighting scenes as in the second part of Bond with Daniel Craig.
The film is good for the genre, from now on I rightly consider it the best film of the movie universe Detective Comics!

This is 2 points, well, as it was before in school, the lowest grade, 0 points somehow unusual to put, but maybe someday I will get used to it if it is still released. This reminds me how children are fed “for mother, for father”, porridge tasteless, fresh, monotonous, even if sugar is added or not. I think there's one person in Hollywood who's writing all this crap, maybe that's the way it is, maybe some organization oversees the movies they make, which is why they're so trivial. Well, come on, the fight between good and evil, for mom, for dad. And good will triumph, and love will triumph, and demons will die, and everything will become so sunny and beautiful, and the world will become a better and more beautiful, um, um, um, um. History, quality, creativity no longer matter, nothing matters, just good will conquer evil. So why make a movie then, write right away the good won and the credits immediately, since no one cares about the movie. What kind of beauty is such a Wonder Woman, looking with meaningless eyes, whose face does not understand who she is, where she is, why she is, maybe she passed a special casting for actresses, it is quite possible.
King Arthur’s sword is just as meaningless, love and forgiveness give the hero an unprecedented force with which he sweeps away opponents, well, how much can I feed this porridge, I understand religion is a strong thing, but not so much as to shove it anywhere you go, as if the world only revolves around it and can not be neither right nor left. Previously, children were taught at least on fairy tales, which really had meaning, but now more and more rests on only one thing - Christian love. How absurd is the film when she, having killed hundreds of Krauts, takes pity on the latter, expressing her love, her faith in love, but had she understood this faith earlier, and had she had mercy on all the Krauts, how long would she have endured love for them? Love is not a medicine at all, and it does not open the way to heaven or anyone else there, it is just a feeling, and it is not worth raising it, you should not chain yourself with chains of love if a person does not do well, do not turn the other cheek at the same time graciously smiling, but act according to circumstances, and the one who writes these snots, apparently has in mind to educate in the viewer quiet humble goats.
I recently went to a new DC movie and decided to express my subjective opinion. Wonder Woman is part of the DC Cinematic Universe, which fails over and over again both critics and viewers, but still collects a box office. I put my hopes on this film, but it didn’t disappoint me, but it didn’t really impress me, and now let’s go into more detail.
Wonder Woman tells a fantastic story about the daughter of an Amazon queen who lives on a hidden island in isolation from people. She struggles to become a better warrior and when a plane with British spies falls to them, which tells about the First World War, she decides to stop this war by killing Ares. The film is simple, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad. It's interesting, but the film sags in the middle and the spectacle becomes drawn out and not very interesting. The script at first glance looks good, unlike the Pirates, questions do not come up in liters, but if you turn on your head and understand what is happening, you will understand that the film has a lot of holes that do not even try to explain. Also, Princess Diana has a weapon in the film called ' Lasso Truth' and it would seem that this is unusual, but I did not like that his origin was not explained, but this is only my fault.
I liked the acting and character characters in the film, Diana played by Gal Gadot perfectly, you can see the difference between an experienced warrior in BPS and a young girl in this film. I liked her future lover and British spy Steve Trevor, played by Chris Pine. He succinctly entered the role, and the character was well revealed. The rest of the team they're assembling wasn't very interesting, but the upside is that they each got a minute of disclosure and they didn't turn out to be as empty as the First Avengers. But the villains limp Doctor Poison, General, and Ares are remembered only by their appearance and nothing more, and they were revealed in no way.
Atmosphere and humor, I didn’t like the atmosphere. A couple of shots showing the wounded and that's it. There is no real war, no destruction, and that is a minus for me. But here in the film was good humor, a couple of jokes so generally went hurrah.
The music in the film is the most ordinary and memorable, almost all. Of course, the music to the appearance and action of Wonder Woman is simply stunning. It was true even in BPS, but it did not get worse.
Special effects and action-that plan of special effects everything is fine, juicy picture, only CGI a little limp, and so everything is fine, the budget of the film of course not like the current Marvel films, but still an impressive 149 million dollars. But the action I did not like very much, slow-mo of course was the place, but Diana had no problems in the battle, her only worthy opponent was Ares. And then he appeared in 10 minutes of the movie and was just as quickly defeated, just like Dr. Doom in the 2015 movie. I didn’t find it particularly interesting.
In conclusion, I will say that I liked the film and it is good, but I do not understand such enthusiastic reviews, the movie so, at most 2 times. This is an impressive result for DC.
I can’t say that there were any special expectations before watching Wonder Woman 39, but the very idea that a female superhero would get a modern solo film was very attractive, and it was a beautiful Saturday days I was in the cinema.
Unfortunately, the film was, to put it mildly, not very good.
The first part, I must admit, turned out to be quite dynamic and quite pleasant to watch. The writers wrote Diana a good story, and visually the island of the Amazons looks like you want to go there immediately. The meeting of Diana and Steve is also very interesting, with good jokes and obvious chemistry of the characters.
But from the moment the characters go to war, the film gets worse and worse.
First, Diana with her 'This is Ares! It's all Ares' fault! 39; gets a little paranoid by the middle of the film, and at the end, when Ares shows up, just want it to be over.
Secondly, the way in which the writers of Wonder Women & #39 have written the main villains is simply outrageous. Negative characters cause no fear, no horror, no desire to root for the characters - nothing but the question of why they speak in template phrases, trying to convey to us from the screen template motivation.
Template is a big problem in this film. Characters here are divided exclusively into bad and good, without gradations of gray and internal conflicts. The good guys are only the good guys and the bad guys are only the bad guys. Heroes do not suffer, and villains do not suffer - everything is white and black. Accordingly, they also get dialogues seemingly with a bunch of pathetic phrases, but causing only irritation. After all, now that superhero movies come out so often, I want to see not only beautiful actors and a bunch of special effects, but also a smart script.
In terms of acting, of course, there is little to say, because such a story does not require special talent. Gal Gadot is a beautiful woman, and her Diana is breathtaking in action scenes, but in scenes of a more dramatic nature, Gal does worse. It is noticeable that Chris Pine enjoys the role 'sidekic' Steve Trevor, and it's a shame his character wasn't revealed any more. David Thewlis in his role looked as if he had agreed to participate in the film because he had a large mortgage. Unfortunately, this is the main mistress 'Wonder Woman'.
Well, the first part of the adventures of Diana Prince was not at all miraculous. Hopefully, DC will take into account its mistakes and maybe even change writers by the second film.
First of all, I just love Diana. Of all the superheroes, she is probably the favorite female character. I went to the movie with full confidence that I would like the movie, even if there were a bunch of logical holes and all sorts of weird things. In principle, expectation = reality.
I was afraid the film would be too feminist, but I was really pleasantly surprised. Even on Themyscira (Femiscira?) girls ' meet the standards of beauty' which is quite justified in this context, but still I feared that they would manage even female warriors to replace ' real women' with obese figures and with a level of physical fitness like the dining table. And the scenes of men indignating that Diana was a woman didn’t make me feel like a typical woman.
But now to evaluate the film itself. Of the pluses, I can probably single out only Gal Gadot herself. This concentration of fascination, naivety and power is really captivating. Unfortunately, Diana is the only revealed character in the film. About the rest you will learn little from the picture. Apparently, the calculation was that all your attention will be riveted to the very cute gall (and it worked for me).
A separate plus highlight the scene with ice cream - it is really very mimimi.
Now the downsides. Let's start with editing. The picture, in principle, is pleasing to the eye, but more than God's Slow Mo. You can stock up on alcohol (or tea) and drink with friends whenever things slow down in the movie. Somewhere by the end of the first fight you will all get drunk (or drink a lot of tea).
As I wrote above, the disclosure of secondary characters leaves much to be desired. Motives and goals, relationships etc. are unclear. But that’s okay, not so scary, because there are diana’s eyebrows.
Music. Oh, it's an epic tududu every battle! They really didn’t highlight the main final file (which, by the way, is also weak, although I was squealing from Diana because BROWS) with some separate music. They just turned on the same thing as the other fighting scenes. It didn’t look impressive to say the least.
I’m not going to talk about the final, so as not to accidentally spoiler, I can only say that it seems that Nolan made his way here.
In general, the film is for one time, but it is worth watching at least because of Gadot. She's really good. And despite the fact that I sing praises of her appearance, as an actress she is really good. I even forgave her the Furious.
In 2013, Marvel Studio, which successfully developed its cinema universe, appeared the first serious competitor - no less popular company DC. Their comics are also extremely popular, and many consider them even better than Marvel’s picture magazines. However, something went wrong, critics scolded every subsequent film of the house of Superman and Batman and even though there were enough satisfied viewers and, frankly, DC films can not be called terrible, but the ratings all fell and reached anti-awards, like ' Golden Raspberry'. Who predicted that the studio would lift their simplest and, at first glance, unremarkable project?
39: Wonder Woman is the story of the beautiful Amazon Diana, who lives with the rest of the warriors on a remote, beautiful island. One day she meets an American pilot, the first man in her life, who tells her about what is happening outside this paradise - a brutal war with the Germans reigns. Hearing this terrible truth, she decides to leave her home and help defeat this war, because, as she thinks, there is a more global and dangerous evil behind it. .
And the film, which against the background of the same 'Batman v Superman' or 'Suicide Squad' looked the least epic, still managed to shoot better than them combined (although I, again, do not feel so bad about them). One of the main advantages 'Wonder Woman' this simplicity. DC’s previous works were extremely confusing, they had too much content, a lot of lines, the focus always shifted and what was happening in places became mush. But the film Patty Jenkins puts to the fore a simple, but smooth story with a minimum number of plot holes, in which there are almost no unnecessary elements and watching this movie as a result is much more interesting and pleasant.
Before watching, I noticed in 'Wonder Woman' a lot of similarities with the first 'Captain America' from Marvel (again war, Germans, plus: hero with shield). But in fact, the main line rarely resembles the adventures of Steve Rogers. Although there is less action, compared with previous films DC, but watching it is partly even more interesting - most likely it is due to the pleasant main characters, their development, interaction (we will return to them) and the depth of the whole tape, by the way, about her.
The film really has something to say and the language will not turn empty. And the subtext doesn’t lie in these biblical references (hello, 'Batman v. Superman), here we get a more interesting and even important message that can teach us something. It says that not all people are uniquely good, that it does not have to be black and white and about many other things. Some scenes become much more powerful due to this and ... there was the first problem. . .
The last 20 minutes of the picture. I know a lot of people talk about it, but I can’t just forget it – in fact, we had a decent ending, a tough one, with our final, spectacular battle and the message I mentioned above. However, Patty Jenkins does not stop there and we are waiting for another pack of action, which completely spoils the main idea of the tape. In what way? It is very risky to go deeper, I will say one thing: at this moment the cinema contradicts itself, and that action came out not so spectacular, more standard.
But let’s close our eyes and get back to the good part: the characters. Here the creators did not fail, the characters are very charismatic, it is a pleasure to watch them. Gal Gadot is already in 'Batman v Superman' proved that Wonder Woman is her role, but here her character is generally a delight. And Gal Gadot certainly coped with the role well, but I want to focus more on the heroine - it's amazing how well we conveyed this naivety of Diana. The way she perceives a cruel world that is far from her beautiful island, the way she tries to come to terms with the injustices of our society - all of this was perfectly demonstrated. With the help of Diana, the creators also criticize our society and feel a certain development of this heroine. By the end of the story, it changes and, you might say, grows up. So I'm looking forward to Wonder Woman coming to the same 'Justice League'.
But the rest of the characters are pretty good: Chris Pine has always been sympathetic - he's funny, nice and doesn't seem weak in the background of our Amazon. His team still doesn’t get out of my head, everyone has their own characteristics, they are also funny, lively and don’t talk all the time in pompous phrases (Hello again, ' Batman v Superman'). But the villains failed - they are clichés, they speak in ominous phrases, they want to destroy everything, and one of them is directly related to the unfortunate ending I talked about. In some places, they seem sinister, but mostly something not special. . .
The action is generally good (again, only in the final it is standard). When Wonder Woman begins to teach Germans manners, the spectacle reaches unprecedented heights. The slow-motion effect wasn’t overdone, and the music... Diana’s theme is still superb. Except for her, the soundtrack does not stand out. Well, the humor: I liked it even more than in 'Suicide Squad' - it makes the movie even more enjoyable. . .
So 'Wonder Woman' it's a decent blockbuster, I'd say a blockbuster with a soul. He is very kind, not empty, with a good message, an interesting story that reveals Diana in a new way and is not so confusing, but more fascinating. Basically, all the characters are good, almost all the action, music and humor succeeded and spoils the movie only too weak ending and villains, but it is not deadly! Of course, there is still something to strive for, but DC is on the right track and I strongly recommend everyone to read this film - you will have a good time.

By the way, there are also some references to other characters of D.C., and the logo of this studio has changed for the better. . .
. I definitely liked the movie. Both hands plus a thumb in the sky. The script is simple, predictable and banal to lemon acid. We often know the biography of Marvel and DC characters better than the events of the lives of our grandparents. In films of this type, it is important to correctly show what is already familiar to everyone. In my opinion, the director succeeded. Amusements are amazing. Sexy. Dangerous. Sexually dangerous. The island is a kind of fusion of the Elven Rivendell with some Thebes or Athens. Splendor, with breathtaking precision inscribed in the natural landscape, always arouses in me admiration and childish hope to create something similar in my country. And when this fairytale world is invaded by the armed forces ... damn, tears come to my eyes. They destroy the magical harmony of the island. The soul beats in convulsions... the heart shrinks and turns into black ashes every time one of the Amazons dies on screen. You sit there and realize it's wrong. It shouldn't be like this. That, in my opinion, is one of the strongest parts of the film. Then comes the standard theme of Diana coming to London. Somewhere with a claim to humor, somewhere with naivety, somewhere with incredible elegance. Diana fits in ... and now the score is 3-0 in favor of the princess from Themyscira. I will not go into details and describe individual episodes. Action really does. It's good and delicious. Fights. Culbits. Tricks. Delivered delicacy, powerful, with a delay. It's not easy. The fight directors did a great job. Great battle scenes.
Keep going. The romantic line delivered. I can't help it. I love those moments. They somehow humanize movie heroes. Fill the screen inhabitants with real, some very understandable emotions. Allow them to experience with them... grief, disappointment, frustration, joy, passion, love. Repeatedly found myself ashamed of ' our ' the world before Diana. Shit. kindergarten. Cinema and Germans. Speaking of the Germans. They don't seem real. Like a continuation of the Germans from Captain America. Some kind of toy. Ares ... didn't take it at all. Professor Lupin... David Thewlis... okay, I admit it was done so no one would think of it. But you can somehow make Aresa ares using graphics. And so ... like Ares, and the face ... immediately remembered ' Mustaches - a pass in the panties'. And then all the respect and trepidation before GZ went somewhere. Funny, but we don't stop there. Conflict. The moment with the photo is very strong. And so the movie ended. And after it, it really feels like a dreary feeling... I’m already waiting to meet the character. I liked the movie. There are many positives. Negative - one or two and fucked up. They're not critical either. Everything's great. And I'm a little sad. And Gal Gadot just played really cool. And she's mega-figure. Film score. Must-see!! !
Wonder Woman is the next series in the DC Cinematic Universe that follows the origins of Diana Prince.
Long ago, in order to protect the Amazons from the evil god Ares and people at the same time, Zeus created the paradise island of Themyscira (or Themiscira). Little girl Diana is an only child on the island and most of all she wants to learn how to fight. The girl grows into a beautiful and strong woman with the appearance of Gal Gadot and at this moment, an airplane crashes on the island, the pilot of which is a nice guy named Steve Trevor. Diana saves him from death, after which the pilot tells about the Great War, which is going on in the human world.
The film 'Wonder Woman', directed by Patty Jenkins event is certainly large-scale. In fact, this is the first real superhero movie. Yes, in the bearded '70s, there was a movie about Superman's cousin, Supergirl, but it didn't work out well. In the nils came out 'Catwoman' and 'Electra' but technically they should be called antiheroines, and the films themselves were blatantly failed ('Catwoman' considered not just one of the worst comic book adaptations, but also one of the worst films in the history of cinema).
So 'Wonder Woman' not just an important film for the DC Cinematic Universe, but certainly an important film for the genre as a whole. Surprisingly, Marvel, with all its successes, unexpectedly find themselves in the role of guessing, because their film about the superheroine will be released only in 2019.
Perhaps that’s why Wonder Woman turns out to be an old-fashioned movie in the spirit of Superman 1978 – this is a kind tape with a morally flawless, and therefore very naive protagonist who flatly refuses to believe in the corruption of people. Diana believes that all evil and wars occur solely through the fault of the main villain Ares. And it is this theme that is perhaps the most successful in the whole film, but more about this below.
Wonder Woman manages to avoid the editing problems that have been in 'Suicide Squad' and 'Batman v Superman' and structurally it most resembles 'Man of Steel'. But if the film about Superman with Henry Cavill was scolded for too dark tone and lack of humor, then in the film about the princess of the Amazons with this complete order.
The humor in the film is very cute, somewhere even infantile due to the naivety of the main character, but this is what he bribes. Of course, the chemistry between the main actors also plays a significant role. Steve Trevor played by Chris Pine here acts as a worthy counterweight to the naive Wonder Woman and, at the same time, does not look useless. So 'Wonder Woman' worth watching at least to see the relationship of these two.
The rest of the characters were less fortunate, although the Amazons came out great, as was Steve Trevor of London (although her name is still not remembered). Most of all, there are problems with villains - they came out quite faded and not too interesting, but in 'Wonder Woman' unlike Marvel films, such fading makes sense.
And here we should go back to the theme of evil and war, which, in my opinion, came out most successfully in the whole film. The brilliance of the villains here turns out to be emphasized, a'Wonder Woman' in some ways goes smarter than many of its predecessors on the burden of comic film adaptations. As the devil lies in the details, so the evil in the film is implicit - and this is what the viewer will understand with Diana. And the work on this aspect of the film is really well done.
The other question is, does all this 'Wonder Woman' make a standout movie? I guess not. There are still a lot of joints. Classic mess from computer graphics in the finale, stamps, sometimes slow pace, incompleteness of the main villain, as well as miscast for his role - all this in the film is. Are these sins forgiven?
It depends on how to relate to the genre of cinema in general. If you miss the good old Superman movies, this is the movie for you. If you want to watch a strong and beautiful woman from a naive idealist become more mature and wise, and along the way also kicks a bunch of ass - run to the cinema. If you love a movie that at least glimpses the theme of war, you can try to look. But if the genre of the comic book disgusts you and you are not able to endure two hours of cinema, where the main character is a woman, it is better to stay at home and not spoil the nerves of either yourself or others.

Not very familiar with DC superheroes, and the fact that over the past decade they are not particularly honored by the public, everyone knows, but now not about it.
I'm happy, really, a good movie, amazing. Not just a superhero waving a shield left and right, but with a purpose, with conviction, with faith. Well written plot, finally good humor! Wonder Woman, perfectly revealed, her motives are clear, I don’t want to compare, but this film left more impressions than Marvel’s Second Avengers or Captain America. Here they can, when they want, make a stunning picture, where to look and think and laugh enough.
Special thanks to Gal Gadot, the perfect character, when I heard about the creation of the film, did not represent anyone for this role except her.
And let DC go higher as this movie is a great chance to do it!

After listening and reading the praises, I decided to go to the movies but Wonder Woman. On this next film of the DC Cinematic Universe, I did not have high hopes and expectations from it were not overstated. Still, the reputation of the DC Cinematic Universe is not the best. The character never really attracted me. However, to my surprise, Patty Jenkins managed to make not just another superhero original with a bunch of action scenes, but also make it a good movie in itself! It can be safely viewed in isolation from the rest of the movie universe and now thanks to him, the character of Diana becomes much more interesting and more empathetic (both in future films and in Batman vs. Superman).
Plot
The plot in the film is simple, straightforward and represents a standard original, a superhero formation. However, the work with the characters and their motivations was done huge and meticulous, which is why it is interesting to follow all this action and there is no desire to look at the clock to find out when the end will be. The atmosphere of war is well conveyed and creates the right mood. To the disadvantages of the plot, I can only attribute villains, they are very standard and scenes with them are not particularly interesting. There’s one twist at the end of the movie that didn’t really impress me. You can still see a clear analogy with the First Avenger from Marvel, but here all similar elements look much more interesting and organic.
Actors
The cast is beautiful!
Gal Gadot proves he can play and he can play well. When necessary, she shows the affectionate naivety of her heroine, when necessary, she plays drama well. Thanks to her and her play, Wonder Woman now looks like a living person, and not like a battered woman, appearing to pathetic music and giving out lulas to everyone. It is interesting to watch the character, it is interesting to see how all her life foundations are tested for strength during the film. After this film, I fully support Gal Gadot’s cast as Diana.
Chris Pine is also great, he plays here already his usual role as a witty, kind, energetic optimist. This type just suits him perfectly and he perfectly balances the naive, purposeful Diana. Each scene Gal Gadot and Chris Pine together captures all the attention and the so-called spark and chemistry between the characters is visible.
Quite funny was the team that collects the characters in the middle of the film, each of which is revealed in the course of the plot. The Amazons are very pleased, living in isolation from the world on their paradise island. It is also a pleasure to appear in the film by David Thewlis.
Action
The action scenes in the film are fascinating, fast and shot very cool! Each is unique and memorable. Unless by the end too much CGI, but in conjunction with interesting characters it is not particularly distracting.
Music
The overall music in the film is good, adding to the action weight and drive. The main theme of Wonder Woman is still very cool and every time it turns on the heart beat faster and the action becomes mega epic!
Result
It turned out a good original with a simple plot, well-developed, interesting characters and bright action scenes. This is how the Cinematic Universe should have started! Best DC movie so far.
