American director, producer, screenwriter Nora Efron was born in New York. Nora’s family also consisted of writers. Nora Efron was educated in college, and her debut as a screenwriter took place in 1973 in the series Adam’s Rib. After that, she made a living for about ten years by writing small humorous articles in magazines, and during the same period she wrote the script for the film “The Excellent Gentleman”, released in 1978.

Later, Nora Efron was nominated twice for the Academy Award for the screenplay for the film When Harry Met Sally (1989) and Sleepless in Seattle (1994), in which Tom Hanks and Meg Rhine starred, and directed by Nora Efron herself. But Sleepless in Seattle, a film about two people living in different parts of America, whose fate is connected thanks to a boy, was the second directorial work of Efron. Nora Efron also served as a producer. Nora Efron has several films that have been successful at the box office: “Michael”, “You have a letter”. Witchcraft Nicole Kidman in the lead role.

Nora Efron died on June 26, 2012, at the age of 71, after a long battle with leukemia.
