Upon his return to New York, Eli realized that his future career must be tied to acting. So he entered the “Studio of actors”, where he met his future wife – actress Anne Jackson.
Since 1945, Eli Wallach has participated in professional productions on Broadway. He won a Tony Award in 1951 for his role in The Tattooed Rose.
