Mary Stewart Masterson was born on June 28, 1966 in Los Angeles, USA. Her father, Peter Masterson, is an actor, screenwriter and director; her mother is actress Carlyn Glynn. She studied at the Dolton School and the Sundance Institute (in Park City, Utah), then studied anthropology and film art at New York University. Masterson began acting in films at the age of seven (The Stepford Wives, 1975). Her first major role in the film May Heaven Help Us! (1965). She is known for the films “Garden of Stones”
