The future master of the pen was born into a family of immigrants on October 17, 1915. He graduated from the University of Michigan, and before he came to fame, worked as a reporter and war correspondent.
From behind the Iron Curtain, Miller was better known as the movie star's last husband.
Marilyn Monroe She was divorced a year before she died. The playwright himself, after Monroe, married Inge Morat, with whom he had two children, including a daughter Rebecca, who married now three-time Academy Award winner actor Daniel Day-Lewis.
Miller died on February 10, 2005.
