The boy graduated from The Taft School, and then entered McAllister College, which is located in St. Paul. While studying at college, the guy became interested in studying the history of dramatic art and theater skills.
In 1985, after graduating from college, Peter moved to Los Angeles, where in 1968 he debuted with a cameo role in the TV series Jump Street, 21.
The first popularity of the actor brought the role in the television series “Hope of Chicago”, after which Berg starred in many films, such as “Tuesday Don’t Expect”, “Aspen Extreme”, “Heavenly Fire”, “The Last Cowboy”, “Big White Deception”, “Trump Aces” and “Lions for Lambs”. However, none of these films brought the actor popularity.
In 1998, Berg made his debut as a director. His first work was the film “Very Wild Things”. The film was based on the novel by Gene Brewer, and starred Cameron Diaz, John Favreau, Jeremy Piven and Christian Slater. The film won such awards as the Csapnivalo Awards, the Deauville Film Festival and the San Sebastián International Film Festival.
In 2003, an adventure film was released on the big screens.
The Amazon Treasure With Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in the lead role. The plot is based on the story of a “bounty hunter”, who is tasked with finding a guy in the Amazon jungle who crossed the path of a local mafia. The film made a furor at the box office and in a few weeks earned more than eighty million dollars.
In 2004, another directorial work of Berg was released - the drama "In the Rays of Glory", and a year later the film "Kingdom" appeared on the screens.
