James Patrick Walsh. J. T. Walsh was born on September 28, 1944 in San Francisco, California, USA. He graduated from a Catholic (Jesuit) school in Ireland, but the university chose Rhode Island as a sociology major. After working as a social worker, encyclopedia salesman, high school teacher, reporter and restaurant manager, he decided to try his luck as an actor in New York at the age of 30. James Patrick Walsh. J. T. Walsh was born on September 28, 1944 in San Francisco, California, USA. He graduated from a Catholic (Jesuit) school in Ireland, but the university chose Rhode Island as a sociology major. Having made his stage debut in 1973 in the production of the Manhattan Theatre Club “Yucca Flats”, Walsh worked in the theater for ten years.
He first appeared in a cameo role in B'Eddy Macon's Run'B (1983). Of his subsequent works on the big screen, the most notable are the role of boss Danny DeVito in Barry Levinson's film Little People (1987), and the role of rival Robin Williams in the film B Good Morning Vietnam! Walsh also worked with Oliver Stone on the set of B'Nixon and Joel Schumacher on B'The Client.
Walsh was a master of the background. The number of films he starred in has exceeded 60.
The actor died unexpectedly in February 1998.
