Kevin made his television debut on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson in 1984. In 1986, Kevin's girlfriend Dana Carva was invited to the show Saturday Night Live. Dana, in turn, recommended Nealon to the creators of the show. In the same year, both were involved in the project.
In 1991, Kevin starred in the holiday film Everything I Want for Christmas. He also appeared in Lucky Gilmore.
