The demons (Diabolico, Loki, Vipra, Jinkser, and little Impus), chief among whom was Diabolico, decided to return to their old palace, but found that in its place now lies the large seaside town of Mariner Bay. They did not like it and decided to destroy an unexpected obstacle. They themselves are still located in another dimension in the Skull Cave.
