Pulp found fame on the world stage in the 1990s with anthems including ‘Common People’ and ‘Disco 2000’. 25 years (and 10 million album sales) later, they return to Sheffield for their last UK concert. Giving a career-best performance exclusive to the film, the band members share their thoughts on fame, love, mortality — & car maintenance. Director Florian Habicht (Love Story) weaves together the band’s personal offerings with dream-like specially-staged tableaux featuring ordinary people recruited on the streets of Sheffield. Pulp is a music film like no other — by turns funny, moving, life-affirming & (occasionally) bewildering. close

The legendary concert was broadcast live on BBC on Christmas Eve 1975 from Hammersmith Odeon Music Theatre in London. Thanks to unique documentary footage, viewers will learn about the main events in the band’s career that influenced the further history of Queen. But the main thing in this film is a live performance of such world hits as Killer Queen, Liar, Keep Yourself Alive, Now I'm Here and, of course, Bohemian Rhapsody. It was on this show that the group first performed a composition that was destined to become the greatest in the history of rock music. “Bohemian Rhapsody” turned ambitious upstarts who began in bars and colleges, in the titans of the world stage and became the hallmark of Queen for decades to come. close

In 1971, to get breathing room from tax and management problems, the Stones go to France. Jimmy Miller parks a recording truck next to Keith Richards and Anita Pallenberg's Blue Coast villa, and by June the band is in the basement a few days at a time. Upstairs, heroin, bourbon, and visitors are everywhere. The Stones, other musicians and crew, Pallenberg, and photographer Dominique Tarle, plus old clips and photos and contemporary footage, provide commentary on the album's haphazard construction. By September, the villa is empty; Richards and Jagger complete production in LA. "Exile on Main Street" is released to mediocre reviews that soon give way to lionization. close
