"Simplehearted" - the film adaptation of the novel by Voltaire, directed by Eugene Ginzburg. The story of another Mowgli, who came from the wild tribe of Huron to civilized France of the seventeenth century.
At first, everything goes perfectly: the savage finds relatives of his parents, those around him are struggling to tame the Indian to the achievements of French culture, are initiated into the Christian religion.
