Stephen Berkoff was born in Stepney, London in 1937. He studied acting in London and Paris. Before forming the London Theatre Company (LTG) in 1968, Stephen worked in various repertory theatres. Among the numerous theatrical works of Berkoff, one can especially distinguish the production of the play (as well as the adaptation of the book for the stage) based on Kafka’s Metamorphosis and Edgar Poe’s The Fall of the House of Usher.
