Maurice Ronet was born on April 13, 1927 in Nice on the beautiful French Riviera. His real name is Maurice Julien Marie Robinet. Both parents were famous actors, and the boy from an early age got used to an unusual acting life. After studying acting with the famous master of his craft Jean-Louis Barrot at the Paris Conservatory, he began to try himself in cinema. In addition, the gifted young man perfectly wrote paintings and stories.
In 1949, he made his film debut in the film directed by Jacques Becker “Date in July”, in which the actor played the role of Roger. This is a story from the life of a golden Parisian youth who lives, rides a trophy amphibian on the Seine, falls in love, plays in amateur plays and eventually flies away to the tropics. No less successful in 1953 was the role of Mark in the film Jacques Deville “Infinite horizons”, thanks to which at the IFF in Cannes, Maurice Rohn earned flattering critics.
The beautiful and nervous face of the actor, the ability in the limited space of the film to concentrate on generalizing the character of the character - those qualities that helped Maurice Rona to enter the ranks of the most popular actors in France of the 60-70s.
Among the best works of Maurice Ronet: Julien Tavernier in Louis Malle’s action film “Elevator on the Scaffold”, Dickie Greenleaf in the adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s novel “The Talented Mr. Ripley”, “The Wandering Fire”, “Scandal”, “Stepfather”,
"Three rooms in Manhattan" and others.
The actor died after a serious illness on March 14, 1983 in Paris.
