The film presents thirteen rhythms of flamenco, each with song, guitar, and dance: the up-tempo bularías, a brooding farruca, an anguished martinete, and a satiric fandango de huelva. There are tangos, a taranta, alegrías, siguiriyas, soleás, a guajira of patrician women, a petenera about a sentence to death, villancicos, and a final rumba. close

Based on Shakespeare's play, Verdi's opera depicts the devastating effects of jealousy, "...the green-eyed monster which doth mock the meat it feeds upon". Believing Otello has promoted the fast-rising Cassio over himself, Iago plots to destroy both Cassio and Otello. Iago convinces the jealous Otello that his beautiful wife Desdemona is unfaithful, and that Cassio is her lover. Jealousy is followed by tragedy, then retribution, "Has Heaven no more thunderbolts?" close

Aging opera singer Joachim Dallayrac retires from the stage and retreats to the countryside to school two young singers, Sophie and Jean. Based on their teacher's reputation, Sophie and Jean are invited to participate in a singing contest staged by Prince Scotti. Scotti's protege is set up to get revenge for Scotti's defeat at the hands of Dallayrac in a similar competition many years ago. The young students overcome Scotti's trickery to win the competition. There were the three main singles for Music for the Masses, the final Black Celebration single "A Question of Time", and "Pimpf", the instrumental closer to Music for the Masses. The "Pimpf" video is currently exclusive to "Strange". close

During the opening credits of the series “Friends” the song by the band The Rembrandts “I’ll be there for you” sounds. In 1994, a low-budget video was released on this composition, in which all the actors of the series plus the band members took part. The action takes place in the TV studio - "Friends" have fun, jump, run, crook, quarrel, flirt, dance, and "Rembrandts" unfazed perform the song. The ending is quite symbolic. Actors from Friends by cunning and force expel the pop band from the studio, take possession of them musical instruments and under the phonogram finish the song to the victorious end. In a similar scheme, they invaded our life with you. It seems clumsy, behave like children, but very quickly and quite imperceptibly this knave bag took our homes a very important place. close

Blond Ambition World Tour Live contains the final tour date recorded in Nice, France. The release had previously been shown and produced by American network HBO as a television special. In 1992, the LaserDisc release won the Best Music Video-Long Form category at the 34th Grammy Awards. The tour reached North America, Europe and Asia. It was a highly controversial tour, mainly for its juxtaposition of Catholic iconography and sexuality. Rolling Stone called it an "elaborately choreographed, sexually provocative extravaganza" and proclaimed it "the best tour of 1990." close

Strange Too - Another Violation by Anton Corbijn is the third music video compilation by Depeche Mode, featuring more videos directed by Anton Corbijn, released in 1990. The Drive-In featured in the introduction to the compilation is the "Motor Vu Drive-In", located in Erda, Utah, west of Salt Lake City, near the town of Tooele, this part of the video being shot the day after the band's concert in Salt Lake City in July, 1990. close

Riverdance--The Show is a cultural phenomenon that defies criticism for the enthusiastic and leaves everyone else scratching their heads. The wonderfully talented cast, headed by the Riverdance Irish Dance Company, bewitchingly spins (and stomps) its Celtic folk choreography featuring numerous breathless solos by Michael Flatley (since departed) and Jean Butler. The mellifluous Riverdance Orchestra boasts Davy Spillane, who coaxes plaintive lamentations out of a peculiar instrument that resembles a bagpipe in a metal leg brace. For Enya fans, there is the sound-alike choral group Anuna, who casts a similarly New Age-style vocal spell. Also thrown into the mix are such disparate folk traditions as American gospel and Spanish flamenco. Though it's only 70 minutes long, Riverdance is repetitive by half. But judging from the ecstatic audience ovations and the continued foot-stomping during and after the curtain calls, too much is still not enough. --Richard Natale close

The famous comedian Eddie Murphy sings very well. He even has several music albums of his own. The story of one of his clips is simple and interesting at the same time. Michael Jackson, who knew how to choose the best artists for filming, invited Eddie to participate in the nine-minute video for “Remember the Time”, and Murphy did it with pleasure. When Eddie was preparing his video for “Whtazupwitu”, it never occurred to Michael to refuse to participate in it. As a result, they did a great job: Eddie sings a verse, and Jackson weaves his voice into the chorus, and they complement each other well.
The music video Directed by Wayne Isham "Whtazupwitu" left the world with the memory of the close friendship of two highly gifted African American artists Eddie Murphy and Michael Jackson. close

“The Magic of Queen in Budapest” is a concert film dedicated to the performance of the legendary rock band Queen, held on July 27, 1986 in the Hungarian capital Budapest.
The event, which took place at Hungary’s largest stadium, Nepstadion, and gathered 80,000 spectators, is unique in that it was the first concert of a Western rock band in the Eastern Bloc, where such music was not officially welcomed. As a result, many thousands of people from the socialist camp got the opportunity to enjoy the work of the great Queen and the incomparable voice Freddie Mercuryclose

It's probably a specific movie. It appeals more to Queen fans, but it can also be recommended to a “broad audience.” Memorable interviews with the world’s most famous rock stars, touching Queen music and documentary narration.
The musical design once again proves that Queen creates masterpieces, and it is impossible to believe that all that you will hear as an accompaniment to the film was written by one group, which even the authors of the Encyclopedia for Children put in the section “Pock music” separately. close
