Film on comics - it sounds proud! I don't like comic book movies. I think they're pretty down-to-earth undisclosed, and people only watch them because of the massive special effects. But to be honest, Batman just captivated me.
Of course, this is a story about a superhero, but the script is skillfully written out and makes you watch the film without stopping to the end. After all, the heroes are not so flat as they could be. Of course, there are flaws, such as the killer of Wayne's parents, but I think they give some integrity, maybe even charm to the picture. Like the fact that the main character in this film is not in the first place, still quite an original solution in my opinion After all, it is not interesting to watch the whole film to look at the ideal person who in his life did only good deeds, in my opinion it is much better to look at the character for whom there are no rules, he is more attractive.
Tim Burton. Without him, Batman would have been a dummy, but we were lucky, so sometimes you forget what this movie is based on. The hand of the master is visible in everything: in the gloomy Gotham, in the extraordinary main character, in the selection of actors. Since he’s my favorite director, I can be a bit biased, but I think his work in the film is a hundred percent, and I think those who have watched will agree with me.
Separately, you can pay attention to the scenery, which literally exposed all the vices of the metropolis, its dirt and atrocities. On the same level with them are special effects. And I think it's great that the graphics did not become the main merit of the film and the reason for the box office. Special effects are not the most "heaped" and, probably, today's spoiled viewer they will not quite taste, but they are in harmony with the convoy of the narrative, and for that time (after all, it took no 19 years, and not at all noticeable) they are qualitative.
The acting game is one of the most prominent places in the film. Michael Keaton is the best Batman to me, and no Kilmores, Clooneys, or Bales are considered Bruce Wenas by me (although Batman isn’t the first movie I’ve seen). Still, I consider it a merit of Keaton, because if you watch the same “Beatlejuice”, you can hardly imagine a miracle bio-exorcist legendary bat.
The main persona of the film is undoubtedly the unforgettable Jack Nepier or simply the Joker, played by Jack Nicholson. In principle, I do not quite perceive it, although I know that it plays well, take at least the Shining by Stephen King. But the Joker makes me sympathetic, in general, he is probably the best villain in the entire series of films. It’s even a bit of a shame that he was unsuccessfully parodied (in my opinion) by Tommy Lee Jones in Batman Forever.
I can't help but mention my respected actor, Michael Gough. The image of Alfred he created sits firmly in my head. And what a disappointment it was when I found out that in Batman: the beginning it is not.
Perhaps it is still worth noting Kim Besinger, still journalist Vikki Vale is remembered, although I did not notice anything special in the play of the actress. As for the others, to be honest, they are not very memorable, but I think it is not very scary.
Naturally, it is impossible not to note the wonderful music written by the hand of an unforgettable master. Danny Elfman. A little gloomy, a little gothic, a little tragic and a little sad. It will not leave anyone indifferent.
In general, Batman in my opinion, if not the best film in the series, then certainly not the worst. I think it will be interesting to watch and people with superficial perception of paintings, and movie fans. A masterpiece for all time.
