However, he went to work in the police, having additionally passed the higher courses of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Almost five years, the writer served in the police, first as a lieutenant, and then as a major. Here he met the heroes of future works.
Kivinov was awarded a government award for excellent service for the protection of public order, and in 1999 was awarded a special prize for the best book on the activities of the internal affairs bodies.
He began writing in 1994, the first novel by the author is called “Nightmare on Stracek Street”. This work was not intended for publication, but soon came out. Then he worked on the works “Travelers”, “Petersburg Present”, “Covered by the Wind”, etc.
In 1995, Andrey Kivinov began writing the script for the television series.
"Streets of broken lights" which was completed in 1998. He also appeared in the series as an actor, playing the role of the inspector in the series “Rat Hunt” and “High voltage”. At the same time, his works were published: “Inferno”, “Autumn Evening Blues”, etc.
He then became an employee of the Agency for Investigative Journalism, but in 1999 he was offered to work on the TV series Killing Force. At the same time, he worked as a consultant for the Outlaw magazine.
In 2004, Andrey was writing scripts for several episodes of the Opera series. Chronicles of the Homicide Department, then worked on the comedy “Holidays of strict regime”, then on the film “Love undercover” based on his own work called “Classmate”.
