Dmitry Iosifovich Svetozarov was born on October 10, 1951 in Leningrad. The son of the famous film director Joseph Heifitz. In 1983, he staged the debut feature film “Speed”, with interest met by the audience and specialists. Not gone unnoticed and his next works - "Breakthrough" (1986), "Without uniform" (1988), "Dogs" (1989). The film Arithmetic of Murder (1991), produced by Dmitry Svetozarov, was awarded the Grand Prix of the Kinoshok Film Festival in 1992. He then directed the films Gajo (1992) and Blue Dancers (1993).
