"It's gonna be okay." For fans of Russian cinema, this is not only an optimistic phrase, but also a great film by Dmitry Astrakhan about the fate of a village girl. It was this picture that made the director famous throughout Russia.
Dmitry Khananovich Astrakhan, born in 1957, is from Leningrad. In 1982 he graduated from the studio of A. Muzil at the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography. Astrakhan began his career in the St. Petersburg and Omsk Youth Theatres, and in 1981-1987 he became a director of the Sverdlovsk Youth Theatre. Over the years, he has staged more than 30 performances of different genres.
In 1990, Astrakhan shot the first full-fledged picture “Fatal error”, created based on the play by M. Roshchin. At the same time in the studio “Lenfilm” the director worked on a short film, which grew into a full-length film “Exit!”.
Dmitry Astrakhan has a large number of films, without which Russian cinema would not be so bright. Among his works are the fantastic story “The Fourth Planet” (1995), the drama “From Hell to Hell” (1997), the action film “The Contract with Death” (1998).
One of the most striking works of Dmitry Astrakhan was
film "Everything will be fine" It was shot in 1995. The plot reveals the story of a girl Ole, who waited for a groom from the army. On the eve of the wedding, she meets the son of businessman Petya, who falls in love with the bride. At the height of the wedding, Petya appears to congratulate the married couple, but leaves with Olya. After that, they go abroad, and Kolya remains alone and works at the plant.
Despite the rather simple plot, typical for most films, the picture is saturated with emotions, conveying an atmosphere of calm and measured life in the province. The amazing play of actors Anatoly Zhuravlev, Olga Ponizova and Alexander Zbruev, accompanied by beautiful musical compositions by Alexander Pantykin, allowed to create an excellent film that became the best among all the director’s works. /
