Do you remember the main character of the film “Striped Flight”? She was played by Margarita Nazarova, a brave circus actress and a famous tiger tamer. In 1969, she was awarded the title of "Artist of the RSFSR", and on October 6, 2005 she died in her Nizhny Novgorod apartment in complete poverty.
Margarita Petrovna Nazarova was born in the city of Children's Selo (Pushkin) on November 26, 1926. Her father was a forester and her mother was a teacher. The first experience of training a wild animal, little Rita received in early childhood, when her father brought an orphaned bear from the forest, and the girl tried to teach him to dance.
And then the war began, and fifteen-year-old Margarita was taken to Germany. She knew a little German, could speak with her masters, and therefore she was assigned to a rich house. After a while, it occurred to her owner that this Russian – with its pretty face and excellent plasticity – would be a good idea to put in a cabaret. That's how Margarita got her first artistic experience. The story of her liberation is remarkable: during a performance in a cabaret, Russian soldiers broke in and cried dirty when they saw the anointed girls. Frightened to death, Margarita shouted: “Don’t shoot, I’m Russian!”
Returning home, Margarita went to work in the “Circus on the Stage”, creating a small acrobatic number. Then animals appeared in her room - dogs and horses, and then Nazarova decided to become a circus motorcycle racer and began to ride on a vertical wall. “Slowed” her from the sky back to earth, the famous tiger trainer Konstantin Konstantinovsky, who offered a young woman to enter his room. After a while they became husband and wife.
In the movie Nazarova made her debut in 1953, starring in the extra in the film “A case in the taiga”. A year later, she starred as a double Lyudmila Kasatkina in the film “Tiger Tamer”. And in 1961, the film Vladimir Fetin was released on the screens.
