Returning to Vilnius, the actress studied as a historian and for twenty years worked in the department of rarities of the library of the Institute of History. She did not want to remember about cinema, did not maintain contact with journalists, the last interview with Lina came out in the early nineties, but in it she spoke about her past in cinema very little.
Later, Braknita continued to live with her family in Vilnius, leading a reclusive lifestyle. She doesn't communicate with people she doesn't know, she doesn't give interviews, she doesn't send photos. She likes to walk in the woods, she does not like noisy company. Lina stopped working in the library, trying to help her husband, who opened a small book publishing company in Vilnius. She does not regret not becoming an actress, believing that she made the right decision.
