John Foreman is an Australian musician and TV presenter, music director, pianist and composer, a well-recognized face on Australian television. It is behind many of the biggest events in the Australian entertainment world. One of his most ambitious works is the Olympic flame song "The Flame", performed by singer Tina Arena, which he wrote for the opening ceremony of the 2000 Games. Jose Carrers and Majida El Rumi, as well as the song "Melbourne Girl", which Vanessa Amarozi sang at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Manchester in 2002.
Foreman was born on April 24, 1972. He became interested in music since childhood, at the age of 6 he already studied to play the piano, at 10 he won a scholarship from the Newcastle Conservatory, after studying at the Sydney Conservatory of Music.
He began his television career in 1992, joining Network Ten and working there until 2004 as music director on the TV show Good Morning Australia. Between 2003 and 2008, he was the musical director of the Australian Idol vocal show.
He became actively engaged in musical creativity, starting in 1993, when he released his solo album, which received a nomination for the ARIA Award. He wrote background music for television shows and performed as a jazz performer in the 1990s, including at various international festivals. He conducted the Sydney Philharmonic Orchestra during its New Year performances in 2012-2014.
