Maureen O’Sullivan was born in the small town of Boyle and studied at the monastery of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in London, where her classmate and friend was the future famous Vivienne Lee.

It was a start for the girl and she decided to devote her life to cinema. After leaving for Hollywood, Maureen O’Sullivan starred in several films, and later she was noticed by director Irving Talberg and invited to play Jane Parker in the film.
