YuliaSemenovna Tkachenko Actress. People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1970); Laureate of the State Prize of the Ukrainian SSR named after T. G. Shevchenko (1971).
Graduated from the Kiev Theatre Institute (1950 workshop of V. Vilner).
Since 1950 – actress of the Kyiv Ukrainian Drama Theatre named after I. Franko. Widow of actor Mikhail Zadneprovsky mother of actor Alexander Zadneprovsky.
A wonderful acting dynasty began with the father of Yulia Semenovna - Semyon Tkachenko and her mother - actress Ekaterina Roy. Semyon Mikhailovich staged several performances in the Ukrainian drama for a short time was its director and then worked as deputy chairman of the Committee for Arts and rector of the Kiev Theatre Institute. The second generation is Yulia Tkachenko and her husband. YuliaSemenovna Tkachenko has been working in her theater for half a century. Over the years, she has created many memorable images. And yet, according to experts, the beautiful actress will not offend her, she will be told was not in demand enough. Stage roles she played not so often - once every few years. On the one hand, Ukrainian drama was traditionally rich in talented people. On the other hand, in the 60s and 80s, the heroine of her plan could not organically fit into the repertoire of which the Ivan Franko Theatre was distinguished. The Lord God gave Tkachenko a non-trivial appearance of an unusual talent and an equally specific role. It was difficult to integrate into melodramatic folk or pseudo-folk dramaturgy to find application in plays of a “national” (and more often pseudo-national) character. Her creative style can be compared not with watercolor but with graphics. Lady Macbeth Antigone Cassandra Vassa Zheleznova Ingigerd (in the play Yaroslav the Wise) - these are the stages of her stage marathon.
True Yulia Semyonovna was lucky for directors-Varangians. The theater had its own internal politics, the main line from which it often alas fell out. And the directors from the side of the actress does not fit into the general context that attracted. It was difficult to calculate, she always had a certain “reserve”. And when an unbiased director came to the theater, he often caught such qualities with a fresh eye. Thank goodness the repertoire has changed. What is the “Old Lady’s Visit”? Here her heroine is both terrible and vulnerable and extremely cynical and in some ways defenseless and arrogant and treating herself with caustic irony. However, the very Julia Semyonovna is ambiguous as her old lady. Honestly, I haven’t had as much fun with the conversation as I did in the few hours we had. With the widow of the older Zadneprovsky mother of the middle and grandmother of the younger right to miss impossible!
