Gabriel Katzka is an American theater, television and film producer and Emmy nominee. He was born on January 25, 1931 in New York City. Gabriel's father was a lawyer who funded some Broadway productions. In the 1950s, Katzka himself began producing performances, taking much from his senior colleague, theater producer Alexander H. Cohen. In the 1960s, he founded his own production company, Cherokee Productions, and began to shoot films and TV series. The most successful among them was the mini-series.
