Igor Savochkin was born in 1963, on May 14, in the Saratov region (village of Berezovka). After graduation, he studied at the Saratov Institute of Agricultural Mechanization, and then worked as an engineer. He never thought of becoming an actor. When asked, “Where are you going to study?” he always replied that he would join the army. In addition, Igor was not distinguished by diligence, and, as he says, was a hooligan. Therefore, the offer of a friend in 1982 to study in a theater studio was surprising for him, but he accepted it. And in 1987, Savochkin entered the Saratov State Conservatory at the Theatre Faculty, after which he was invited to work in the Moscow Theatre “On Boards”. Also for some time he participated in the productions of the theater “On Pokrovka” and acted as an announcer of the live broadcast of the Saratov radio station “Nostalzhi”.
His film debut took place in 1993 in the film “Trotsky”. He was noted in such films as “Night Watch”, “Kulagin and Partners”,
"Tin" "The irony of fate." Continuation, Exile,
Black Lightning And many others. But his favorite role was in the series.
"The Gromovs" where he played the negative character Tolyan. In this character, he sees not only the bad, because he was a man of his word, and this already says something. He approaches each of his roles responsibly, but in order for Savochkin to agree to its performance, the character must really “hit him alive.”
To date, Savochkin does not play in the theater, as he works for Timur Bekmambetov. He is engaged in voice acting and post-production, and also starred in the videos of the film “Day Watch” and in various advertising. Of course, this is not a particularly creative work, but since he continues to act in films in parallel with it (offers come from Timur Bekmambetov’s film company Baselevs Production), Savochkin feels good. Along with this, he manages to leave time for trips to the theater.
