In 1985 he graduated from the acting faculty of the School-Studio of the Moscow Art Theatre of the USSR named after Gorky. From 1985 to 1993 he worked in the Theatre on Taganka, where he played the roles: Alceste ("Misanthrop" Moliera), Baron ("At the bottom" M. Gorky), Pilate ("Master and Margarita"), etc. He took part in the play "Artists of Sergei Yursky" "Players - XXI" (Shvokhnev).
