Born July 24, 1920 in Tyumen, in a large peasant family. Tyumen boy successfully entered the “forge of cinematographic personnel” – Moscow VGIK. It was in the late 30s, but the beginning of the Great Patriotic War did not allow him to continue his studies: Gleb was drafted into the Red Army, he went through the war and finished it in Yugoslavia. It was in the late 30s, but the beginning of the Great Patriotic War did not allow him to continue his studies: Gleb was drafted into the Red Army, he went through the war and finished it in Yugoslavia. To complete the training at the acting faculty in the famous studio of Sergei Gerasimov managed only in 1948.
At the same time, the aspiring artist debuted as Ivan Turkenich in the film “Young Guard” (Gorky Film Studio).
From 1948 to 1964, Gleb Romanov served as an actor in the theater-studio of a film actor and film studio Mosfilm.
On "Mosfilm" Romanov starred in the films "Cavalier of the Golden Star", "Zhukovsky", "Unforgettable 19th", "Jumping" and many others. The popularity of Gleb Romanov in the 50s was huge. In 1957, Gleb Romanov performed with foreign repertoire at the VI World Festival of Youth and Students in Moscow. The star hour of Gleb Romanov came in 1958, when he brilliantly played, sang and danced the main role in the color feature film Isidor Annensky "Sailor from the Comet".
On 29 September 1965, at the request of the acting section, Gleb Romanov was expelled from the Union of Cinematographers. Section Secretary E.I. Tretyak told the Presidium of the Organizing Committee the following: Gleb Romanov committed several hooligan acts, which was written in the newspaper.
He died on January 15, 1967, at the age of 46 in Leningrad, was buried in Moscow at the Donskoy cemetery.
