Since 1928 he went to play in the Moscow theater of working youth, where he studied with eminent actors.
The debut of the actor in the cinema took place in 1933 in Boris Barnett’s film “The Edge”, which was a great success with the audience, and a year later the film was sent to the Venice Film Festival and received a prize. And since then, the actor begins a real acting life. In the thirties, he starred in such films as “At the Bluest Sea”, “Private Case”, “The Return of Maxim”, “The Man with a Gun”, “Thirteen” and others.
The work in the theater, of course, had to leave.
Then there was the movie.
Tractorists. In which the actor played with the famous actor Peter Aleynikov and Boris Andreev. The film was a stunning success, and the songs from this film were sung by the whole country. In 1941, the actors of the film “Tractorists” became laureates of the Stalin Prize.
After the Tractorists came a real success. During the Great Patriotic War, Nicholas performed as part of frontline brigades with concerts.
In all his films, the actor acted in the role of a modern, but at the same time a simple working guy, and his characters did not resemble each other, but the images of the actor played, as a rule, positive. The actor died in Moscow on April 13, 1994.
