Theatre and film actress Maya Georgievna Menglet was born on August 8, 1935 in Moscow.
Maya's childhood was fun and carefree. Parents-actors instilled in their daughter a love of art from an early age. Therefore, the childhood love of the theater and cinema remained with the actress for life. Her first acting experience five-year Maya received in the film “Lermontov”, which was released in 1943.
Maya with great pleasure studied in the theater studio of the City Palace of Pioneers, but she did not dare to connect her future life with the theater, cinema. She doubted herself, in her external data and was a little afraid of the scene.
And yet the genes won. After graduating from school, Maya Menglet, together with his friends Igor Kvasha and Svetlana Miseri, gathered up courage, went to the Shchukin Theatre School for viewing. It was in this school that she met her future husband - actor Leonid Satanovsky.
Having decided to enter Shchukinskoe, Menglet submitted documents to the Moscow Art Theatre School and was enrolled in the course of V.O. Toporkov. Very soon there were changes in the personal life of Maya. He and Leonid got married, and in 1955 the actor’s couple had their first child.
When Menglet was in her final year, she was offered the role of a modest girl Tony in the film by S. Rostotsky.

In 1978, the eldest son of the actress decided to go abroad, following his beloved German girl. The young family lived in Germany for two years and then moved to Australia. Maya Menglet's youngest son also emigrated to Australia in the 90s.
When changes took place in the theater where Menglet and Satanovsky worked, the actors decided to leave and move with their sons to Australia. /
