When you look at the pictures of Vera Voronkova (born in 1965), you remember the silent movie actress, and also pops up in the memory of her namesake Vera Cold – something in this actress is not from our fussy time. Although she often plays our contemporaries with their difficult fates. And not afraid of extraordinary and even shocking performances. Although in fact the play with the shocking title “Vagina Monologue” is not at all “about this”, it is a play about the love that our women lack – about self-love.
Vera Voronkova was born in 1965 in Moscow. The acting career began quite late for the actress - at the age of 25. For a long time entered the school-studio MHAT. There were, however, also Shchepkin, and Shchukin school, and GITIS. But ... beckoned the MHAT. And it was there that Vera "flew out" in the first round. She worked as a cleaner in the Moscow Council Theater, then as an assistant administrator.
Persistent people are lucky. Once Vera noticed Kalyagin, who was just recruiting a group. She graduated in 1990 and began working in the Art Theatre. In the same year she made her film debut, but ... There are such things as acting luck and bad luck. Vera was unlucky. In films that were successful, she played inconspicuous roles, and where she got the main character, the film itself, initially promising, turned out to be uninteresting and passable. Fame to Vera came after the release of series
"Code of Honor" "Right to Protection" and filming in the film "Big Cinema" - "Lover" directed by Todorowsky.
In 1994, at the Paris Film Festival, Vera Voronkova received the prize for Best Actress in the film October. Since 2000, Vera Voronkova has been working at the Chekhov Theatre. Here she plays Marlene in Dinner with a Fool, Doris in The Same Time, Esther in Price.
At the Center for Contemporary Drama and Directing Kazantsev and Roshchin she has roles in Judith and Mirror Carp. /
