Andrei Mikhalkov-Konchalovsky was born on August 20, 1937 in a famous family. Father – the famous writer Sergey Mikhalkov, mother, Natalia Petrovna – poetess, translator. His parents called him Andrei, the director himself prefers to call himself Andron with the double surname Mikhalkov – Konchalovsky (Konchalovskaya is the maiden name of his mother).
